Built relationships with various Public Works Directors and City Engineers, as well as several HDD Engineering firms, Structural and Civil Engineers and Architects for partnering opportunities. Met with several City Engineers and Public Works directors promoting Horizontal Directional Drilling and the advantages HDD has for underground utilities. As a member of the American Public Works Association (APWA) I attended two conferences annually where I have built strong relationships in the Pacific Northwest. Responsible for monitoring Request for Proposals (RFP) and active participant in addressing company qualifications before submitting proposals.
Worked with the City of Portland Bureau of Environmental Services on the $1.4 billion Combined Sewer Overflow "Big Pipe"; the largest public works project in Oregon history. Responsible for monitoring the hydro milling/excavating, and the placement of rebar and concrete for the slurry wall at the Swan Island Pump Station to a depth 180 feet. Responsible for CM on the excavation and build outs on four shafts. Monitored the TBM's progress on the North & South Run of the Westside tunnel as well as monitoring the placement of the concrete pipe segments. I have worked with the City of Portland Water Bureau as a construction Manager for several water projects.

Responsible for monitoring the contractors progress in relationship to the contract schedule. Coordinated construction activities including field changes with the design engineers and contractor. Held weekly progress meetings along with contract coordination meetings. Prepared daily reports as well as reviewed and approved monthly progress payments. Was the point of contact liaison between the owner, design engineers and contractor.

Senior Supervising Tunnel Construction Inspector for the 11.5 mile Westside Light Rail Transit Extension in Portland, Oregon. This was a three mile twin tube rock tunnel under environmentally sensitive area. Construction included 260 foot deep station and ventilation shaft and head house. Duties included: time and motion studies, quality assurance for concrete and utilities, monitoring pay quantities, preparing daily reports, documenting noise levels and providing liaison support between Tri-Met (the owner) and the contractor.
