MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENTS

As a legal professional

• served as counsel to the Standing Committee of the Ontario Legislature on Regulations and Private Bills from 1986 to 1988, acting as the Committee's counsel durings its hearings on regulatory reform and playing a major role in developing the Committee's proposed Citizens' Code of Regulatory Fairness as set out in the Committee's Second Report, 1988

• practised law in the litigation department of Fasken & Calvin, a major Canadian law firm as well as in sole practice in administrative, family and insolvency law, and civil and constitutional litigation

• mediated numerous civil actions as a professional mediator appointed by the Mediation Coordinator of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice's Mandatory Mediation Programme

As a community and team member

• received broad exposure to diverse cultural communities through speaking French, Spanish, Hungarian and German and practising community-based law in Toronto

• served as a member of the Case Management Operations Sub-Committee of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, Case Management Committee of the Advocates Society, a joint bar committee on Case Management, and a committee of the Ontario Integrated Justice Project

As an educator

• published several professional papers, including education materials used by Ontario judges and lawyers

• presented papers at legal conferences in various fields of law

• taught Ontario Bar Admission Course law students and College students at two Ontario Colleges
