Support cable television operators, equipment vendors, and associations on a variety of technical issues.

Represent Comcast on Technical Standards groups at ATSC TSG, CEA Video group, and SCTE DVS.

Chair SCTE DVS WG-3, Network Architecture and Management. Serve as chair of SCTE EAS

subcommittee; member and past chair of the SCTE Engineering Committee. Quarterly columnist on

regulatory issues for Broadband Library magazine. Represent the cable industry on Panel 16 of the

National Electrical Code on behalf of the National Cable and Telecommunications Association. Advisor

to and representative of the National Cable and Telecommunications Association to the Federal

Communications Commission on Emergency Alert Systems.

1997 - 2002 Title: Director, Engineering & Technology

Member of the FCC s Technical Advisory Committee on Emergency Alert Systems. Oversaw the

operation of Time Warner Cable s National Training Center (NTC). The NTC had a staff of 14 and

included 9 Regional Training Managers located throughout the country. Oversaw the patent program

with outside attorneys. Additionally, was responsible for the Senior Project Engineer duties listed

below.

1984 - 1997 Title: Senior Project Engineer

Technical resource for Time Warner Cable Divisions and Corporate. Acted as Time Warner Cable s

representative on technical standards in the areas of National Electrical Code, Emergency Alert Systems,

Signal Leakage, etc. Consulted with Time Warner Telecommunications and outside vendors on

interfacing PCS/wireless telephony to fiber nodes in Time Warner's Full Service Network in Orlando.

Organized and administered corporate signal leakage program. Worked with cable TV systems to

ensure compliance to FCC and FAA requirements. Department head of the Denver Engineering group

during 1989. Performed due diligence and evaluations on foreign (Bulgaria, Czech, Slovakia, and

Poland) and domestic acquisitions. Microwave consulting in Fukuoka, Japan. Represented TWC in

various Engineering industry committees including NCTA, SCTE-EAS, SCTE-Engineering. Member of

the Joint Engineering Committee between the National Cable Television Association and the Consumer

Electronics Association. Member of the joint committee between the National Cable Television

Association and the National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors reporting to the

Federal Communications Commission on proposed technical standards for cable television.
