TIGHITCO, Berlin CT, 3/2009 - Present

General Manager, Responsible and accountable for 140 people and 97,000 sqft facility. Revenues of $51M were achieved through the fabrication of complex composite assemblies, sheet metal assemblies, and metal bond components for the aerospace industry. Through training and deployment of Lean tools, improvement in performance metrics during this time period were: On time delivery 20% improvement, Quality DPPM 99% reduction of defects. Through the efforts of a six member staff including Finance, Customer Service, Production, Quality, Operations Support, and Human Resources this performance achievement was possible. Created facility plans, CAPEX plans, manpower plans, created and approved budgets, prepared presentations frequent customer visits to ensure customer satisfaction. Performance metrics were achieved by dismantling the batch and queue manufacturing silos and transforming them into product group work cells. Inspection islands were eliminated and inspectors were redeployed to cells. Product Group Team Leads provide direction to production operators, quality inspectors, and production control in support of the customer requirements. Andon lights were introduced to signal to the team that the product requires attention and action is required to move the product along the manufacturing process.

Advanced Airframe Engineering Project Lead/CAM

* IR&D CAM for Low impact inspection and Dimensional Management.

* 53K Weight Reduction CR&D CAM, responsible for the producibility & fabrication of Thermoplastic Floor Risk Reduction Articles. Results allowed thermoplastic floors to be baseline for the new CH53K heavy lift aircraft.

* SARAP Composite Cabin, Thermoplastic Tub CAM. Responsible for supplier management, technical interface, and supplier evolution to achieve an In-situ Tape Placed Thermoplastic lower fuselage for the SARAP TVA crash test articles.

* Composite Tailcone, CR&D CAM and Producibility Engineer for the development, manufacture, & integration of an advanced technology light weight Tailcone for the UH-60MU Program. A 50 Lb weight savings was achieved.

* DACP CR&D CAM, Responsible for all Tool Design, Tool Fabrication, Producibility, and Aztex asset deliverables for all Composite Tailcone X-corTM and K-corTM requirements.

UH-60M Composite Process Engineering Lead, Responsible for tooling, planning, and processes to re-manufacture all composite structures to convert UH-60A and UH-60L assets to the new UH-60M configuration. Achieved a 50Lb weight savings.

Manufacturing Engineering Proposal and Offset Lead, Manufacturing Engineering representative supporting 100 Blackhawk aircraft International Co-production campaign in Taiwan and 24 Blackhawk aircraft co-production campaign in Portugal. Supported technical content negotiations in both countries. Resourced the S-76 Composite door fabrication from Rototech in England to AIDC in Taiwan.

S-92 Composite Manufacturing Engineering Lead, Responsible for new S-92 start-up of Cockpit composite components produced at AIDC in Taiwan. Created Technology Transfer program to train personnel at AIDC in Taiwan and GAMESA in Spain the art of Black Bag tool fabrication.

Comanche, Manufacturing Engineer responsible for risk reduction and producibility of the Main Rotor Pylon Low Observable structures.
