SELECTED ACHIEVEMENTS:
Reorganized the team structure and leadership due to a major software development project being behind schedule, over budget and morale issues with the team. Evaluated the structure, reviewed assignments and issues with the team, took over the leadership, reassigned tasks as needed, guided and mentored new and existing members and got the project back on track.
-IMPACT: Resolved the three month schedule slip, got costs in line and completed all needed tasks within eight months avoiding approximately $150K - $160K in additional costs.
Organized and launched a cross functional team that included the supplier, to evaluate software and algorithmic approaches to determine the impact on the supplier's component specification and predicted yield. The new team was able to change the requirements by altering the specifications that resulted in reduced component cost and improved yields.
-IMPACT: The yields improved from 1% to over 20% and had a cost savings of approximately $26M.
Assembled and managed a team of software and algorithm designers, planned and managed team activities, scheduled and coordinated meetings with the customer and shareholders and mentored the team members as needed to support program objectives and goals for a new potential contract.
-IMPACT: Won the contract by exceeding the customer's expectation with the result being $100M for this phase.
Directed a team to evaluate issues affecting program yield and rework issues. Analyzed the issues, proposed an implementation of a statistical process control approach and improved the production rate to meet the customer expectations.
-IMPACT: Recovered sales in excess of $10M per month, rework costs were reduced by over $700K per month.
Collaborated with the customer and led a team to determine major performance factors and test cases that were relevant on a program schedule of significant cost that was both behind schedule and incurring additional costs. The team was able to determine that many of the tests could be cancelled and keep only the ones that were important to the client.
-IMPACT: Removing and modifying some of the tests prevented potential delays to the major program milestones and saved several $M in costs and lost award fees.
