PROFFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Time Warner Cable/Roadrunner, Herndon VA. - (March 2002 to 7/26/2012)

Director, Quality Assurance

* Charted new group within QA, (CMTG) Cable Modem Technology Group. This group is responsible for approving all DOCSIS based CPE products for RR/TW prior to deployment, including testing maintenance releases for issues found in production, and evaluation of new products and reference designs provided from Broadcom and Texas Instruments.

* Built a team of engineers responsible for testing DOCSIS CPE based products and developed Test Plans from Cable Labs specifications.

* Reside on several committees for Product Approval and Life Cycle Management, i.e. CCH and ALM which involves developing reports and updating databases and procuring data for Program Drivers of these committees.

* Developed standards for product qualification, firmware testing and deployment to production.

* Responsible for all Time Warner approved Vendors for product selection, defect tracking and resolution including Product Development for new technologies.

* Committee Member for Corporation on Future Technology Direction.

* Direct Management responsibilities for one manager and a staff of 16 engineers.

* Excellent communication skills, both verbal across different Business Units and written in preparing documentation.

* Responsible for like cycle of product including defining product and functional specifications, and test plan generation thru the different functional groups within the Quality Assurance Organization.

* Developed PIP (Process Improvement Plans) which included analysis of both hardware and software testing to determine the high risk areas of test. The PIP process reduced the amount of testing performed in QA by testing only new features and putting more responsibility on the Vendor. The PIP reduced QA testing of multiple products by more than 40% within the QA test organization.

* Continue to maintain consistent product validation based upon POR's (Plan of Records) per year with a continual increase of projects each year while staff headcount remained flat. (At least since 2007).

* Financial responsibility for Quality Assurance Organization. Manage budget assigned including preparing monthly forecast reports.

* Decreased subscriber call volume for DOCSIS based products by 50% over several years by introducing a structured product approval and test process.

* Developed migration strategy for product evolution from DOCSIS 1.0 to 1.1 and 2.0 DOCSIS CPE's, and have identified products for removal that do not meet Time Warner Tiers of Service.

* Write Performance Reviews and Merit recommendations for direct reports.

Roadrunner Corporation, Herndon VA. - (March 2000 thru 2002)

Associate Director, Network Integration

* Responsible for deployment and ongoing support of Motorola CDLP Cable Routers (MCR's) and legacy Cable Modems, including the decommissioning of Motorola Cable Routers at all Regional Data Centers within the company. A total of 275 Motorola Cable Routers and roughly 1.5 M Legacy Cable Modem subscribers.

* Developed standard implementation policies for MCR configurations and Software Releases.

* Act as liaison between Motorola and RDC personnel to determine bug fixes and feature enhancements in next release of IOS.

* Develop Project plans for IOS submittal to QA and general rollout to production.

* Coordinate with peers to ensure continuity between shifts and that proper shift hand-off occurs

* Managed a staff of 15 Field Engineers, including 6 Project Managers for deployment and support of CDLP products in both the Continental US and South America.

* Supported Roadrunner CDLP Motorola Cable Router Installations for the Regional Data Centers.

* Responsible for yearly review/merit recommendations for all direct reports.

* Project Management responsibilities to also include scheduling installations and filed resources using Microsoft Project.

* Tracked Projects through Pre-Award to Award of Contract of all phases of installation and all of the ancillary equipment integration in factory.

* Implemented a team to design and engineer the specifications of upgrading the existing Commonwealth Edison Analog Microwave Network. Total of 162 Sites which included procuring the necessary engineering talent by developing job descriptions and interviewing candidates for these positions.

* Managed contractors for site surveys for microwave tower installations and prepare all filings for FCC for licensing.

United Stationers Supply Company, Des Plaines, IL. - (July 1988 thru February 1990)

* Responsible for the design and installation of 15 satellite earth stations with the Continental US for disaster recovery.

* Managed the (NCC) Network Control Center for VSAT Operations of both voice and data over the satellite and microwave recovery network.

* Responsible for design and build of all point to point terrestrial microwave systems to all TELCO providers including supporting operational procedures and documentation for troubleshooting the VSAT and microwave networks.

* Coordinated all vendor activities for the installation of all TELCO circuits for new data centers to the Network Control Center located in Chicago.

* Responsible for managing a technical staff of 7 engineers for a 24 X 7 Network Operations Center for all remote locations within the US.
