Projects (listed chronologically, most current first):

Achilles: 2 Years - Sole developer supporting a team of 20+ network/system security

engineers doing a variety of activities requiring office automation and applications built

with windows forms and Office API s (specifically Visio, Excel, and Word). Dealt with

parsing network config files, created wrappers for a wide variety of tools, built workflow

apps that combined multiple data sources into a single UI, programmatically creating Excel

worksheets and Visio diagrams.

NSG Interoperability IRAD: 2 Months - Developed an XML Schema parser designed to extract

the hierarchy from a schema document and store it in a DB. Did research and made

recommendations on software architecture and design for the project.

TEAMS: 2 Months - Developed a custom field control that uploaded a file to a specific

document library, and then reflected the location of the file in the List and Edit/Display

views of the list form, requiring custom display templates. Exposed me to pieces of the

API that include: lists, document libraries, and the field control product life cycle.

Built a custom AJAX driven form that dealt with SharePoint Web Services, Lists, and XML

Schema.

Technologies: .Net 3.5, SharePoint 2007, c#

CAMPS: 10 Months Worked 10 months with a team to implement a WCF solution to interface

and expose web services for the exchange of data used by the Air Force for planning and

execution of mission information. Project required understanding how to implement a WCF

Service, how to serialize and deserialize xml to/from native C# objects, and how to

configure WCF services for both client and server.

Technologies: .Net 3.5, Oracle, C#, WCF (Windows Communication Foundation).

TMS: 2 Years Worked to enhance a legacy CMS app designed to manage targeting

information for NGA. Built complex UI form that used JavaScript (jQuery), dynamic file

uploads, and JSON web services to process shapefiles and xml. This project included the

enhancement of a client server Java app to implement similar functionality, using a SOAP

WS to interface with TMS web server.

Technologies: .Net 1.1, C#, Oracle, Java, JavaScript, jQuery.

PMCE: 4 Months Developed a portion of a project management app that used SharePoint Web

Services to reflect the contents of a document library and allow minor functions to be

done directly within the app. Created custom file upload web service to support existing

functionality.

SKB: 2 Years Sole developer responsible for building a custom CMS called the Standards

Knowledge Base (SKB) used to manage standards and metadata. The project involved meeting

with customers to identify requirements, designing and developing using C# and .NET, IIS

and SqlServer. This project made extensive use of AJAX, JSON objects, SOAP and REST

services, as well as XHTML, CSS and DHTML actions built with JavaScript. The app had

roughly 25+ web forms, and the C# development required custom controls and objects.

BCMS: 3 Years Built custom CMS and development API using Perl, on UNIX and Apache. CMS

was built from the ground up, managed its own users and application logic. This project

included the design and development from scratch of a templating engine used extensively

in other projects. BCMS was designed to allow rapid development of custom CMSs and was

used to manage the front end of a large internal government data portal. It provided an

IDE similar to that of .Net with its controls and code behind pages.

In addition to the work spent on BCMS, I designed and debugged the XHTML/CSS templates

used by the entire web presence for NGA (over 300K +pages), designed to enable the

organization to make minor changes to the web presence with a minimal amount of work.

Employee Locator: A small PHP application used to find employees on a government

intranet, which ran on Apache/Unix, and published SOAP and XML-RPC web services (the first

publicly available in that organization). The employee locator web services were used to

keep contact information updated throughout the intranet.
