BI Manager Luis Guilamo was responsible for managing development prioritization

business specifications to technical requirements. Luis Guilamo collaborated on creating

initial drafts of the Telenor BI roadmap, increased visibility of BI within the

organization and secured internal resources to take over the business critical role of BI

Manager.

KPA AB (2011)

BI Architect Luis Guilamo was architect for the continued development of KPA s data

warehouse which went from 2 to 10 data sources. In addition, he successfully handled the

re-definition of primary business rules for managing new and existing business data. This

development included the creation of an analysis layer in SSAS. In addition to Luis

Guilamo s architect responsibilities, he contributed and supported the processes for both

requirements gathering and requirement testing. Thanks to his efforts, the team was able

to have a successful project delivery which is still in production today.

Luis Guilamo completed a performance review of the OLAP component of their enterprise

data warehouse. His performance report provided the client with data on all the primary

performance bottlenecks within the system accompanied with a time and financial roadmap to

improve the system in the most efficient and cost effective manner.

BI Developer Within Telenor s IT department, Luis Enrique was responsible for design

and development within SSIS and SSAS.

KPA AB (2010)

ETL Architect In connection with KPAs first data warehouse implementation, Luis

Enrique s primary responsibility was for the design of a robust multi-source, multi-

architecture ETL. Furthermore, he was responsible for coaching KPA employees in SSIS

development techniques as well as to review developed ETL components for performance and

quality. Luis Enrique provided invaluable in-house knowledge to KPA which allowed them to

create a competent in-house BI team. Furthermore, during his reviewing tasks, he was able

to reduce the total batch processing time from 30 hours till 2 hours. Finally, his prior

BI experience allowed him to foresee and proactively fix many production issues early

which allowed for a successful deployment.

ChamberSign (2010

)

Systems developer (ASP .NET) In connection to ChamberSign s expansion of services and

new system implementation, Luis Guilamo took on the responsibility of creating a web

application to allow ChamberSign s partners to test their new integration API. Due to this

implementation, partners were able to test and understand the API prior to trying to

integrate to ChamberSign services. This greatly reduced the pressure on the ChamberSign

support team in answering how-to and test related questions.

System tester Luis Guilamo was responsible for documenting, testing and debugging the

integration API to ChamberSign services. In addition, he took part in the testing of a

wider ChamberSign services web application. WCF Test client was the primary median for

testing while using Team Foundation Server for bug and document management. Through his

bug reports and fixes, Luis Enrique made strong contributions to bettering the systems

overall quality.

Back end developer (C# .NET) Luis Guilamo took on the responsibility of creating a WCF

API to serve as the integration layer between a Silverlight GUI and SharePoint Server 2010

using the Client Object Model for managed .NET. This API allowed for the creation of a

more feature rich knowledge sharing center while leveraging pre-existing intranet

infrastructure.

Telenor (2007-2008)

Team Lead Luis Guilamo led all day-to-day project activities for the migration of a

Cognos BI platform to a Microsoft one while remodeling the original data warehouse. This

role entailed the definition and following up on metrics for progress during all phases,

regular progress report meetings with the customer and making sure to continually drive

the team forward. Finally, he facilitated training of the entire business organization in

using their new BI platform. In doing so, Luis Guilamo was able to be a primary factor for

the project being delivered both on time and with high quality. In addition, he provided a

communication link between the business and BI team which both managed expectations and

led to quicker resolution of issues.

Test Lead Luis Guilamo defined and documented the test approach and environment

architecture to support rolling releases. Furthermore, he created automated testing tools

for simplified performance testing. Lastly, he provided a structured testing process which

minimized the number of defects that made it to the final phases of the project, thereby

raising customer satisfaction and lowering maintenance costs due to the increased system

quality.

System developer (.Net, SQL Server) Luis Enrique Guilamo created a custom application

to address the shortcomings of a Movex ERP system with regards to inventory management and

automatically following up on delayed orders. He held requirements gathering workshops

and subsequently modeled the clients as-is process flow for working with their ERP system.

After incorporating requirement, and the leadership teams input, he modeled a much more

efficient to-be process. In the new design, ASSA s customers received automated order

delay information thereby greatly reducing planners time needed to do this manually from

a number of days to nothing. Luis Enrique converted all requirements into a distributed

system design. This allowed for easy rollout of the application and subsequent updates. As

a direct result of the application rollout, ASSA was able to reduce their delayed order

backlog, provide more accurate delivery dates, and more quickly respond to inventory

issues that could cause future delayed deliveries.

British Airline Authority (2006-2007)

System developer (.NET, MySQL) - Luis Guilamo took part in the creation of a biometrics

security system to complete the entire check-in to boarding process more securely and

efficiently using passenger biometric data. Luis Guilamo s tasks were data model design,

creation of reporting layer using Crystal Reports, design and authoring the back end and

GUI of the biometric card management system, GUI testing, component testing, integration

testing, system testing, and document training plan. As a result of Luis Guilamo s

development activities, BAA was able to make use of a more efficient biometrics check-in

process while meeting legal requirement of managing people s biometric data.

service oriented architecture.
