Seeking a mid to senior position as an environmental scientist. Attached is a copy of my resume for your review.

I have routinely conducted natural resource investigations throughout the Mid-Atlantic region of the United States. As the lead field biologist I performed ecological studies in support of Environmental Impact Statements (EIS) for coal-fired demonstration plants in West Virginia and Minnesota. Tasks for these projects included being the field lead for a proposed 75-mile long segment of a 250-mile long natural gas pipeline in West Virginia, and several linear projects that involved upgrades to electrical utility right-of-ways. Field duties included identifying wetlands, field mapping and characterizing terrestrial habitats, conducting rare, threatened and endangered (RTE) plants and animal surveys and agency consultations.

Wetland investigations were conducted using the methodologies outlined in the US Army Corps of Engineers Wetland Delineation Manual, and its regional supplemental guides. Representative projects include natural resource feasibility studies for the Department of Energy (DoE), Department of Defense (DoD), public agencies, and the private sector. Results of the field investigations were documented in technical reports and used to support state or federal 401/404 wetland permits, and wetland mitigation/restoration plans. My technical writing experience includes preparing RTE reports, wetland reports and co-authoring the existing environmental conditions and environmental consequences of Environmental Impact Statements. Being the lead field biologist I reviewed technical memorandums written by junior staff scientists to ensure accuracy and client satisfaction.

Transportation related work experience includes conducting environmental site assessments for county and Maryland State Highway Administration projects. Work for the Intercounty Connector Prince George's, and Montgomery County (a 2.5 billion dollar project) included overseeing the capture and relocation of more than 450 eastern box turtles from a 7-mile segment of the controversial 17-mile long state highway project.
