Animal Control Officer, January 2012 – Present

Responsibilities:

Daily tasks include ensuring the cleanliness of canine kennels, feeding, and administering

medications.

Disease prevention and control through proper sanitation.

Communicate with staff veterinarian regarding canine medical needs or concerns.

Behavior testing of canines to determine adoptability.

Teach basic training commands for adoptable canines.

Identify adoptable animals for transport, gather identification cards, and coordinate with staff

veterinarian to ensure all required vaccines have been administered, transport animals to drop off

location.

Respond to resident animal calls

Assist St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office in preparation of animal neglect cases.

level narcotics dealers through aggressive patrol tactics.

Narcotics detective - As a narcotics detective, I conducted in depth investigations and executed

search warrants on mid to high level narcotics dealers.

Field training officer - As a field training officer, I was responsible for the training and

development of rookie police officers.

Major crimes unit - As a member of the major crimes unit, I was part of a multi-parish task force

responsible for targeting organized crime.
