Responsible for news media relations, district publications, community/parent relations, district website, cable television channel, and special events. Managed six staff members. Served as a member of the Superintendent`s cabinet. Active professionally in Texas School Public Relations Association (TSPRA) and National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA). Public Information Department received over 120 TSPRA awards and 32 NSPRA awards during my tenure.
