ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Authored a set of documents and operation procedures for deploying and maintaining Linux and Widows servers. Prior to this the information needed was either fragmented or non-existent.
Staged, tested, and deployed a new Linux High Availability Database Server architecture using the DRBD, Heartbeat, and MONIT services. Availability of the database to other non-co-located systems was greatly increased.
Developed and implemented procedures to automate testing for TL1 and SNMP that reduced testing time of telecom equipment 50% and directly reported test result to a centralized database.
Increased by 10-fold, the usability of a TCL/TK-based Common Object Request Broker Architecture test environment by designing and implementing a graphical users interface.
Developed and implemented procedures to automate CPE testing; reducing testing time 40%.
Edited Technical References for AT&T private line SONET Services OC-3, OC-12, OC-48, and OC-192 allowing AT&T to offer these services in a timely manner.
Authored the high level system requirements for SONET provisioning and maintenance systems for AT&T Local Service, a major component of AT&T’s reentry into local service.
Increased dense optical traffic signals by at least 20-fold, which produced a positive publicity event for AT&T.
