My main areas of expertise in quantifying the behaviour and ecology of marine animals:

Biotelemetry: positioning systems, receiver arrays and satellite tags.

Sampling: nekton sampling using active (e.g. lift and pop nets, beam trawling) and

passive samplers (e.g. gill, fyke and block nets). Sampling inside mangrove forests.

Statistics: standard biostatistics, mixed-modelling, generalised linear modelling, GLMM,

GAM, circular, time-series, multivariate and survival analyses.

GIS: analysing animal movement patterns in 3D, mapping habitats, home range analysis,

spatial modelling.

Video: motion analysis, tracking, imaging in high turbidity, high-speed cinematography.

Image analysis: photogrammetry.

Hydroacoustics: passive acoustics and echosounding.

Other: quantitative analysis of fish diet, fish egg sampling, identification of mangrove

and rocky shore fauna and flora, identification of marine mammals and marine megafauna.
