Detailed The following projects are a small sample of my work completed as a project

engineer at:

Work

Turn-Key Industrial Engineering Services (6/04 current), Charlottesville, VA

Experience

Jolicoeur Limited Facility Renovation (10/05 current), Montr al, QC

Built an excel-based production model to forecast the production

requirements for Jolicoeur through the year 2015.

Developed an estimate for the total cost of the project.

Redesigned the facility to incorporate new technology and to make

improvements to the product flow and material handling.

Reviewed proposals submitted by the equipment vendors and aided the

customer in the decision making process.

The production capacity of the plant was increased by 97% and the

payroll was reduced by eight full time employees.

Belmont Laundry Co. Facility Expansion (2/05 current), Springfield, MA

Developed an excel-based production model to determine future

equipment, staffing, labor, and storage requirements through 2015.

Designed a building expansion to create more production space.

The maximum productive capacity of the facility was increased by 250%,

enough to meet the demand for the next ten years.

Cadillac Uniform Facility Expansion (8/04 current), Bayamon, Puerto Rico

Designed an expansion to the existing facility to increase production

capacity to meet the growing demand.

Redesigned the existing waste water system to provide more heat

recovery and water reuse.

Created an equipment connection schedule to aid the sub-contractors in

their design of the MEP system for the expansion.

Used statistical process control techniques to identify abnormalities in

both utility usage and facility production. The spreadsheets created in

this study allow the owner to better diagnose problems in his plant.

Coordinated the efforts of various equipment vendors, building

contractors, and the architect throughout the project.

Developed an excel-based statistical process control program to monitor

utility usage and create an action plan to correct variances.

The productive capacity of the facility was increased by 200% with a

23,000 ft2 addition.

Sitex Corporation Production Tracking System (2/05 3/05) Henderson, KY

Created an access-based program to track the production rates of the

plant s employees. The information collected and organized by the

program was then used to create an incentive-pay program.

Service Uniform Rental Disaster Planning (9/05 10/05) Englewood, CO

Developed a plan of action to allow Service Uniform to continue

production in the instance of a catastrophic disaster. The action plan

included ensuring that the facility, equipment, and goods inside were

properly insured, and that the company would be able to continue to

serve its customers while a new plant was being constructed.

Hyosung America, Inc. Time & Motion Studies (2/06 current) Scottsville, VA

Was responsible for developing the proposal for the project and selling

Turn-Key s services to Hyosung.

Conducted time and motion studies in the weaving department to set

work standards.

Created a staffing schedule that informed management how many full-

time employees were required for each product type.
