PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

EATON CORPORATION, Glendale Heights, IL and Baton Rouge, LA

Formerly known as Cutler-Hammer and Westinghouse

Diversified industrial Fortune 200 company with 73,000 employees and sales of $16B worldwide

Project Manager - Electrical Sales and Services Group, 2000 - 2012

* During the last 8 years, managed an average total order value loading of $30M and

oversaw sales invoicing of products and services of $12M per year.

* Had numerous repeat customers who requested I manage their projects, due to exceptional

customer service and relationships with key personnel in the following markets: Utility,

Petrochemical, Steel, Pulp & Paper, Pharmaceutical, Water/Wastewater, Data Center, Universities,

and Hospitals.

* Led a team to rescue a hospital construction project at West Chester Medical Center in

Cincinnati that was out of control for the customer. Team`s efforts led to repeat business vs.

losing an important customer, plus saved $50K in threatened labor backcharges.

* Took over as lead Project Manager on the $50M project at BP Refinery in Whiting, IN, when

the former lead PM moved to another job. This project consisted of 9 power distribution center

orders from EPC firms in Texas and Louisiana, each containing a wide variety of highly complex

electrical distribution, control and monitoring equipment. At the request of BP, in an effort to

sustain consistency throughout the remaining projects and to avoid repeat errors which occurred

prior to my involvement, I authored a Process Improvements and Project Management Functions document.

* Beginning in 2001, oversaw the initial training of 15+ new regional team members. Each

manager had new hires shadow me to learn about the sales and project management tools and processes,

as well as the essentials of excellent customer service and relationship formation with the wide

variety of unique customer types in the Chicago area.

* Team member and key contributor to Project Management Best Practice teams for 7 years to

help develop, implement and get management buy-in and funding for improved tools, processes, computer

programs and other productivity enhancements. Management continually chose me for these committees

due to my experience and skills.

* Fluent in reading and interpreting blueprints and specifications for equipment projects for

customers. On approximately 50% of projects, I was able to offer value engineered solutions for

both cost savings to the buyer, as well as increased profit margins for my company.

Senior Sales Engineer - Electrical Sales and Services Group, 1990 - 2000

* Responsible for sales of electrical equipment and services in the construction, industrial,

and OEM markets in south and central Louisiana. Average yearly sales volume of $4M.

* Grew Baton Rouge sales office from 2 to 6 sales and support persons during my tenure.

* Re-established relationships with former customers who had lost regional support and coverage

by Westinghouse in the late 1980`s. This presented a great personal challenge to create trust and

obtain opportunities with those customers, even after they had written Westinghouse (later became

Eaton) out of purchase specifications in many cases.

* Added 5 new wholesale distributors during my duration to increase market presence and maintain

local product stock. This took significant time and effort to train all the distributor personnel.

SQUARE D COMPANY, Columbus, GA

Now part of Schneider Electric
