PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

April 2012 - Present - PRICE WATERHOUSE COOPERS, ST LOUIS, MO

Microsoft Project Server Expert/ Schedule Lead

I am currently partnering with PWC to implement Microsoft Project Server for our client, Laclede Gas. My primary duties consist of creating a project WBS, the establishment of all standards, process, controls, and reporting as related to our clients ERP project. In addition, I provide troubleshooting of the entire environment and oversee the maintenance of all associated project plans.

January 2011- April 2012 - GOODRICH ELECTRONIC SYSTEMS. PHOENIX, AZ

Microsoft Project Server Expert/ Schedule Lead

Upon the conclusion of my work in Minnesota below, I was asked to provide the same expertise to another business unit for the Goodrich Corporation. This component is to lead a migration of the Arizona location into the previously completed implementation. This also includes ongoing support, administration and training of SIS Minnesota and ESC Arizona throughout my tenure on this project.

August 2010- January 2011 - GOODRICH SENSORS AND INTEGRATED SYSTEMS. BURNSVILLE, MN

Microsoft Project Server Expert/ Schedule Lead

I have worked with Goodrich on their implementation of Microsoft Project Server. Some main components are the system design, maintenance, standards, processes, automation, audits, reporting and all MSPS configurations. In addition, I have resolved many issues associated with their current implementation such as AD synchronization, time reporting and task updates along with resource capacity, tracking and the creation of Custom Project Workspace Templates. Training of users by security group and the production of many project deliverables are also key in the project's success. I have also provided expertise in successfully integrating several legacy systems into one cohesive MSPS solution, this enabled Goodrich to manage not only projects, but programs and their entire portfolio using one tool.

March 2010- August 2010 - TECOLOTE RESEARCH INC. MANHATTAN BEACH, CA.

Microsoft Project Server Expert/ Schedule Lead

I have previously worked with Tecolote Research Inc. on Implementing and administering Microsoft Project Server.

Microsoft Project Server Expert

I am responsible for the continued development, administration, maintenance and audit of Tecolote's current Microsoft Project Server environment. This includes; system development and design, account administration, schedule development, individual project plan audits, cross collateral predecessor/successor integration, master project plans, schedule publishing, metrics, reporting, schedule analysis, as well as all Microsoft Project Server related Standards, Processes and Team Training. Concurrently, I am also the Microsoft Project Server Lead in charge of all technical aspects of Microsoft Project Server in the Tecolote domain. This implementation is based on a standard methodology of Planning, Design, Installation, Configuration and Administration/Maintenance. I am also required to maintain a Secret Security Clearance.

Schedule Lead/Master Scheduler

I also served as a Schedule Lead/Master Scheduler for an Integrated Product Team (IPT) within the Tecolote IMS/EMS. My primary responsibilities are to implement and to guide others in cost analysis, planning, development of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), and WBS dictionaries as well as being tasked to analyze schedule problems in terms of management information with conceptualization and definition of issues and risks. I participate in the definition of system technical base lines and the successive management of those baselines. Secondarily, using advanced scheduling techniques, I compute cost factors and prepare estimates used for program management purposes such as planning, organizing, scheduling work, preparing bids, selecting vendors or subcontractors, and determining cost effectiveness. Subsequently, I consult with IPT team members, customers, contractors, vendors, or other individuals to review, discuss, and formulate estimates and resolve issues. I study available information to select appropriate plans from competitive proposals that afford maximum probability of success for Tecolote and effectiveness in relation to cost or risk. I develop and apply time and cost networks, similar to Program Evaluation and Review Techniques (PERT), to plan and control large projects. These plans also employ a very sophisticated predecessor/successor relational structure that link to a master plan that I publish, maintain and control.

September 2006- February 2010 - COMPUTER SCIENCES CORPORATION (CSC) IRWINDALE, CA.

Microsoft Project Server Expert/ Project Management Lead

I have previously worked with Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC), consulting on an SAP Implementation Project for our client, Southern California Edison.

The Environment: Release (1-3) methodology, based on ASAP for SAP Implementations. Phases are Project Preparation, Business Blueprint, Realization, Final Preparation, Go-Live and Support. Within each Phase the IPSEC Life Cycle was deployed to provide consistency and standardization across all teams. IPSEC consists of Initiate, Plan, Schedule, Execute and Close. Project Plans were created by team for each Phase with the life cycle used to get the plans to baseline and through to maintenance and close.

Microsoft Project Server Expert - My goal in the PMO was to create a Structured Proactive Environment vs. a Reactive one, based on usage of the proper tools, standardization, automation of processes and reporting with a focus on analysis, not busy work. Earned Value against status and effort was a key element to this approach and used to mitigate incorrect reporting of hours or task status across the program and to facilitate decisions on scope, schedule and budget. Additional key components are: The design of MSPS for maintenance and audits, centralized controls across the PMO, data integrity and continuity, standards creation and control with subsequent evaluations, process initiation with documentation and continuous improvement, use of a global template to prevent duplication of effort across teams, a requirements template to facilitate solicitation, evaluation of (test matrix), and to control change, OLAP cube builds to facilitate URL based reporting and the production of executive dashboards via web parts, documentation versioning and control, MSPS security to manage accessibility and delivery of data, workflows used for onboarding/offboarding, configuration and stabilization of both development and production servers, resource allocation across the enterprise.

Project Management Lead - responsible for identification, creation and tracking of issues, risks and change requests within the PMO. Tracked applicable action items and ensured they where worked to completion. Created and distributed to attendees, meeting agendas as appropriate. Dependant on individual team requirements, I held responsibilities for scope, schedule and budget to ensure project was on track for timely completion and within identified quality constraints. I worked closely with Sothern California Edison to hire qualified employees into the PMO, to facilitate this; I created a two page Microsoft Project Server exam and administered it to all prospective Project Managers. During the Project Preparation Phase of Release 1, I helped to define the structure of and creation of the WBS for all deliverables across the enterprise. I created Master Project Plans that where packages of related plans used to help define dependencies across all objects in the enterprise. This included RICEFW objects and others as defined by the project. The goal was to ensure teams understood the big picture and where not lulled into working in silos. On a weekly basis I initiated the training and mentoring of my team members and others as necessary to ensure a highly skilled workforce. I consistently strived to motivate direct reports and others and have been held responsible for the evaluation of those same employees. As appropriate, I would delegate tasks to qualified team members and allow them to take ownership of those tasks. I would audit all Project Plans, PMO Processes and Standards, as well as applicable Data to ensure integrity and consistency across each. I strive to employ a positive leadership style using both structure and consideration while my primary focus is participative.

July 2005- September 2006 - IRVINE TECHNOLOGY CORPORATION, IRVINE, CA.

Sr. Project Management Specialist

I have four overall functions that define my role, these are defined below:

Project Server Administrator - manage the entire implementation of the MS EPM Solution in the corporate software development domain, to include a total of 5 PMO's and support over 1,000 resources. I diagnosed and resolved all errors associated with the EPM implementation and made proposals on necessary improvements of the tool. This also included training of executives, project managers and team members on proper use of the server within the organization.

Sr. Project Manager - oversee and guide to completion various infrastructure projects. I worked directly with inspectors, executives, management, business analysts and developers to facilitate project completion within the timeframe allotted. Two of my more recent projects were the completion and rollout of an organizational status reporting database and project management for a Sarbanes-Oxley initiative auditing our largest corporate application.

Project Processes - establish, automate and set processes for the project management team to include the use of Project Server, Project Professional, and SharePoint, while developing the proper techniques in designing of the WBS, resource allocations in the enterprise, and worked with Sr. Project Managers to update RUP within the corporate software framework.
