PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Senior Advisor2007 to PresentU.S. Army - Salem, OR
Responsible to provide strategic level assistance to the senior leadership and staff of
the Oregon and California National Guard as the Active Duty Senior Army Advisor.
O Advise senior leadership of the Oregon and California Army National Guard on the
training, mobilization and deployment of military units into combat environments. Provide
expert advice to senior staff members on all matters pertaining to military topics and
leadership.
O Assist in the training, mobilization and deployment of the largest unit in the state of
Oregon since WW II. The Oregon 41 IBCT (Infantry Brigade Combat Team) consists of 3200
Soldiers who successfully deployed and returned from Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Director of Operations2004 to 2007U.S. Army - Fort Bliss, TX
Managed daily joint military operations in support of law enforcement agencies throughout
the United States. Transformed a Joint Task Force to better counter transnational threats
to the United States.
O Managed a $10 million operational budget that provided intelligence, reconnaissance,
engineer, and aviation support to multiple law enforcement agencies to include Border
Patrol, Coast Guard, FBI, DEA and local law enforcement agencies.
O Provided testimony to the House Armed Services Committee of the U.S. Congress on border
security operations along the U.S. northern border.
Director of Plans and Policy2002 to 2004U.S. Army - Fort Monroe, VA
Responsible for strategic planning and policy development for a Joint Task Force with the
mission to provide military support to civilian authorities in response to a Chemical,
Biological, Nuclear or High Explosive attack upon the United States
O Directed, planned, and implemented policies, objectives, and activities of
organizations and/or military units to ensure continuing operations. Provided medical,
logistical and aviation support to civil authorities in the event of a natural disaster or
terrorist attack.
O Contributed to the planning and execution of multiple National Level Exercises
pertaining to military support to Civil Authorities in the event of a Chemical,
Biological, Nuclear or High Explosive Attack on the United States.
