implement project management practices and processes and support PMO efforts. Mentoring,
consulting, training, and assisting their efforts with clients in systems and process
improvement.
Enabled successful CMMI Level 3 SCAMPI by acting as shadow program manager inside DoD
industry client running new process development project that produced necessary artifacts.
Performed SPC control charting for commercial client on their application software
defects that revealed problems with upstream requirements process and project
interactions.

Aastrom Biosciences, Inc. -- Software Quality Project Engineer -- June 1997 to October
1999
Managed development to deliver million dollar software product for a medical device that
integrated patient and treatment data and monitored medical devices over a real time
network. Supervised contracts with ISO vendors using software metrics for estimating and
tracking progress. Reviewed and implemented SEI-CMM level 3 SOP's. Created Software
Development Plans, Test plans, Configuration Management and Quality Assurance plans.
Recovered software development project by adding in-house resources to outsource
vendors to accelerate development, testing, acceptance and implementation.
Circumvented problem with requirements by creating graphic representation of product
navigation that revealed dead-ends, loops, and island dialogs that could never be
implemented.
Resource Solutions Group -- Project Manager -- February 1996 to May 1997
Created successful retrospective validation project from scratch. Hired, trained, and
managed high-performance team to validate computer systems. Team produced deliverables for
testing and documentation of preclinical systems responsible for statistical analyses of
data used in submissions to the FDA.
Interim review by FDA auditor elicited comment: "It seems like you know what you are
doing!"
Computer Associates (Sterling Software) -- Senior Consultant -- October 1993 to December
1995
Consulted and instructed clients in the use of the ADW CASE tool for business modeling,
data modeling, analysis and design of information systems.
Saved project from fatal glitch in technology. Initiated detection of very subtle
problem early and was able to diagnose and reproduce the error. Utilized relationship
cultivated with other vendors to gain access to internal information that provided the
solution.
Comprehensive Data Processing -- Senior Consultant -- September 1992 to October 1993
Consultant to major Michigan automotive firm for the enhancement of parts purchasing,
inventory and distribution system.
Analysts International Corp. -- Project Manager, Consultant -- January 1986 to August
1992
Project manager at Blue Cross, Blue Shield of Michigan. Created high-performance team to
do development and maintenance of claims processing systems.
Developed and initiated use of combined time sheet and work status reporting system
that was eventually adopted by client.
Project manager at General Motors for IT project to develop new truck parts inspection
and release system.
Rescued extremely hard deadline (vehicle model release) IT project from failure by
foiling sabotage, implementing risk management measures, and foreseeing and avoiding many
problems..
Formed high-performance team of developers that delivered new system on budget and that
beat model year deadline.
Lead Technical Consultant to AAA of Michigan for the design, development and conversion
to a new membership system.
Formed high-performance team that produced conversion system much sooner than needed
and with more functionality than expected.
Saved major application conversion from failing by initiating, designing and
implementing fault tolerant software design that permitted restarts after crashes from
data errors.
Reduced conversion target data base loading times over 90% by inventing and
implementing tailored SORT algorithm.
Prevented major system rewrite by gathering testing performance statistics and
estimating overnight production run times that revealed bad systems designs.
