A basic health kiosk gives health measurements like BP, Body fat, Weight & BMI, CO content. It has health checkup sensors, PIC controller, MODBUS protocol for Linux and PIC communication, RFID sensor, GSM and GPRS modules, 12” graphics LCD touch screen for user interface.
Responsibilities:
1. Understand health check sensor’s and instantiation and outputs, interface it with Linux.
2. Understand GTK+ libraries object use for user interface.
3. Design software framework to accomplish the client’s requirement.
4. Write software and Daemon for reading from writing to the sensors.
Title : Hand Held Controller(HHC)
SW Platform : MPLAB-IDE
HW Platform: PIC24F
Language : C
Role : Application and driver development.
Client : Eventure Technologies.
Description:
HHC is used as Dog feeder. It has a 128x64 monochrome LCD and matrix keypad for user interface, from this user can select food feeding time and water feeding time. Also has RTC to keep track of time and saved feeding times on power cut off.
Responsibilities:
1. Import the graphics library for monochrome LCD, Import I2C for RTC- PIC communication.
2. Write driver for keypad, LCD, motor and pump interface.
3. As per the clients requirement design and develop software.
4. Create test plan and unit testing.
Title : SmartBox Pro
SW Platform : MPLAB – IDE, ADPCM codec, graphics library, MDD file system
HW Platform: PIC24F, MRF24WBOMB wifi module.
Language : C
Role : Application designer & developer.
Client : ACE Coaching/tutors for AIEEE & IIT-JEE, BYJU.
This project was First award winner in consumer electronics product in the flagship annual conference of ISA(Indian Semiconductor Association)2011.
Description:
SmartBox (SB) is a cost effective handheld device used as Notes Reader, Audio Lecture player for student. It has LCD graphics display with touch screen & SD card interfaced for storing all the Notes, lectures with audio files and home work question (multiple choice), figures (image). Single chip WIFI enabled SmartBox interacts with institution’s server which can send new homework data and other study material to SB.
Responsibilities:
1. Design and architect a framework where all applications can work. And write the code for same.
2. Developed a proprietary protocol over 802.11 b/g/n WLAN by using microchip’s TCPIP stack, which can send and receive data from the host server.
3. Design ADPCM codec stack for audio and use as Lecture player.
4. Developed applications such as Notes reader, Do Homework, Review Homework, Class Quizzer, Full Test, Calculator, and Stopwatch.
5. Support an extended ASCII characters and different mathematical & science symbols (such as Ώ ζ, ψ, ξ, etc) and render the same on screen. Support 8BPP indexed & 16BPP Image rendering on the screen.
Title : MockTestTab
SW Platform: MPLAB - IDE, MCP TCPIP stack library, graphics library, MDD file system
HW Platform: PIC24F.
Language : C
Role : Application designer & developer.
Description:
This application will run the time bound entrance tests. In this, the question paper will get downloaded from the centered server to the handheld device (using TCPIP stack, with WIFI interface). The students will attempt the answers from the device; device stores the answer and sends it to the server. Server stores the answer sheet for that registered student and generates the report immediately after test time over’s.
Responsibilities:
1. Designing Pleasant and handy UI as per the requirement.
2. Involved in the developing the strategy for communication protocol within handheld device and mock test server through 802.11 b/g/n WLAN.
3. Efficiently Implementation, coding of the same.
4. Set up the field trial test environment for testing engineers
Title : Android Tab Diagnostics
SW Platform: Eclipse-IDE (on windows), Android SDK
HW Platform: telechips, MID-7AS tab
Language : JAVA
Role : Application developer
Client : K.K. Anand’s SMART (Science and Mathematics Academy for Real Talents) Academy
Description:
The application is used to analyze the android device’s (tabs & phone) peripherals, such as RAM, int. & ext. memory, touch screen, Display, Audio & Video outputs, WIFI chip and battery. And also to get information about some other parameters such as android version, CPU speed, MIPS, build version. The Application generates the report of the test for each of these parameters.
Responsibilities:
1. Identifying source of device information, like device build number, RAM & internal memory, processor speed, Android version & Writing application for the same.
2. Developing strategy and application to verify reading/ writing speed of device, touch screen, brightness.
3. Analysis of battery backup and battery AH verification.
4. Developed Communication protocol to check uploading, downloading speed and round trip time. Also to investigate WIFI state, signal strength, SSID etc.
5. Design a handy & understandable UI.
6. Setting up full station for diagnostics and train people for the same
Title : Content STAR archiver & reader.
SW Platform: Eclipse-IDE, Cygwin (on windows)
Language : Java, C
Role : Software developer
Client : K.K. Anand’s SMART Academy
Description:
Java STAR FS is the interface to the STAR file system written in C, for this interface JNI is used as translator. The STAR file system has the encrypted files and the C code efficiently decrypts it and gives it to the Java / Android applications. To translate & communicate Applications to C libs, JNI acts as translator, which supports calling Java methods from JNI native methods to C functions.
Responsibilities:
1. Developed a STAR FS for star reader in JAVA and developing JNI native methods to interpret Java applications with C and creating shared library (.dll, .so).
1. Developed test cases for both Archiver and Reader.
1. Integrated Archiver to Content Ball Generator.
2. Setting up the testing environments for test engineers.
