army uniform manufacturer, a plastics molding machinery manufacturer, a tubing manufacturer, a forklift manufacturer, an oil
distributor, and a SBA loan finance company.
• Pitched eight deals to GE’s Investment Committee, of which six were approved. Four were accepted in a competitive bidding
process.
• Carried out due diligence to understand the industry and business of each prospective client, identified macro / company-
specific risks, built stand-alone company financial models, determined appropriate capital structure, and then analyzed company’s
collateral (A/R, Inventory, M&E) to establish appropriate loan advance and pricing.
• Managed a portfolio of client accounts with an aggregate $1 billion of loan exposure, ensuring that credit agreement terms were
being met (e.g., covenants, financial performance thresholds, collateral availability). Met on a quarterly basis with senior
executives of portfolio companies to evaluate company performance and trends to monitor loan risk.
• Spearheaded study of Latin American market to identify new opportunities and presented action plan to management. This
involved gathering intelligence from GE executives (e.g., CEO of GE Latin America, country managers, etc.), reviewing industry
trends, and macro / country-specific economic and political conditions.
