Vice President of Mobile Business
Manage mobile division operations. Devise and implement strategies to optimize P&L, business
development, quality, and customer service levels. Direct new product development, including
configuration / features, tradeoff assessments, and planning from concept to rollout. Oversee the
marketing and pricing functions. Conduct market, competitive, and requirements analysis. Cultivate
strong customer relationships, including evaluation / qualification of prospects, identification of decision

spearheading the acquisition of Falanx Microsystems AS (GPU company); devised strategy / plan
(still operative as originally written), identified the prospect, convinced the Board by demonstrating
projected ROI, negotiated an advantageous deal, and conducted due diligence.
Obtained ~ $3M in licensing fees from Micronas USA soon after the Falanx merger (see above)
through effective management of the GPU product line.
Enabled ARM to gain video market expertise by driving $5M investment in W&W Communications.

Generated hundreds of millions in revenues by spurring consensus on de facto mobile CPU
standard, delivering 90% market share and billions of units sold / shipped.

Increased revenues $3M and preserved ARM’s CPU as the sole Symbian-supported option by
preparing and executing a licensing plan for ARM9 and ARM11 (with Renesas Technology Corp.);
