Project Lead for two PC-based LAN’s in different physical locations. The Corporate Headquarters Systems LAN included
300 software developers and the Year 2000 Project Office LAN included 50 Project Managers. Each environment consisted
of Microsoft Windows based clients and multiple Netware and Windows NT servers.
Developed and implemented plans to upgrade and maintain client operating systems, server network operating systems, and
all client and server applications.
Delegated tasks and assigned projects to 5 full-time employees and 3 part-time interns.
Developed training materials and trained 300 software developers on LAN functionality.

Developed and implemented plans to install Microsoft Windows for 300 networked PC’s.
Designed and implemented a software distribution process for effortless installations of desktop applications. This enabled
applications to be installed quickly, consistently, and at the convenience of the user, without the aid of a LAN Administrator.
Researched and implemented a Remote Access Server with multi-protocol dial-in and dial-out functionality.

Installed and maintained a 200 node PC-based LAN using DEC Pathworks network operating system that provided network
connectivity, file, printer, and application sharing, and 3270 connectivity.
Implemented a visual modeling CASE tool called CADRE Teamwork using X-Windows. This enabled 200 software
developers access to this application from their desktops instead of walking to a different building.
Researched and implemented a menu system for launching network applications from each desktop.
Developed and implemented plans to upgrade 200 PC’s with additional memory, disk space, and new operating system.
