design and development of the ETL processes and maps to replace existing systems. This
project uses DB2 9.1 database, Informatica 8.1 as an ETL tool and COGNOS as the BI tool.
Responsibilities:
• As an ETL Architect design and develop ETL processes for AIR Replatform subsystem.
• Business Requirements (KPI) gathering. Time estimation for ETL development work.

Dell computers is the largest personal computer manufacturer in the world. DFSDWIR Project
was designed to convert existing Oracle data warehouse to Teradata Data warehouse platform. I
worked as an ETL Architect on release 1.5 and 2.0 of this project. Data sources were flat files,
Oracle 10g and UDTs. This project is done using Informatica 8.5.1 and Informatica Data
Explorer. For this project source and staging was on Oracle 10g and target was Teradata V2R6
systems having 70TB data.
Responsibilities:
• Implemented ETL tuning/optimization process using Push Down and partitioning.
• Developed ETL Architecture for phase 2.
• W orking with DBAs to coordinate database changes and tuning.

Yellow Roadway is the biggest transportation company in LTL (less than truck load) business in
USA with gross revenue over $9 billions. It has many subsidiary companies under the YRCW
umbrella such as Yellow Freight, Roadway Express, US Freightways, USF Logistics, Meridian IQ
and some recent partnerships in China for worldwide business. I was chosen for various major
projects throughout my employment with YRCW such as Y2K, Shared FMS, Enterprise Data
Warehouse, Data Marts and Business Intelligence applications.

i) EDW Releases 1, 2, 3, 4 and RI Release: Jan 2005 to Dec 2007
Title: ETL Lead/Architect (Permanent job)
I worked as an ETL Lead and ETL Architect for EDW project. This project is the biggest
data warehouse undertaking to integrate transportation and logistics data of various
YRCW companies. YRCW companies work on various distinct and isolated technologies
such as mainframe, AS400 (iSeries), Adabas, M204, sequel server and DB2. This project
has finished its 4 releases and has planned for another 4 releases. This project uses

Oracle, Teradata v2R6 as target databases for ODS and Data Warehouse, Informatica
as the ETL tool, ERWIN for data modeling and Business Objects as the BI tool.
Responsibilities:
• Managed ETL Resources located at different locations in USA and offshore.
• Managed ETL SLA, metrics, risks and issues for ETL development and Production
Support, change tickets etc.
• Implemented ETL tuning/optimization process. Developed ETL and BI Architecture.
• Used Power Center, Power Exchange, data profiler, metadata manager. INFORMATICA
installations and administration.
