Responsible for R&D and sustaining engineering as well as management of ~ 35 person team.
Co-managed $12M budget with Auckland, NZ 65 person development team.
• Directed program management and systems engineering of five networked LCD integrated
navigation systems generating ~ $110M revenue over six year period.
• Delivered products and features including DGPS positioning, raster & vector cartography,
NTSC/PAL video, radar, sonar, satellite weather, sea surface temp., Automatic Identification
Systems (AIS), surveillance systems and engine/vessel management.
• Built development team and support structure to respond to the OEM boat builder market.
Combined strategic partnerships and organic developments to achieve a “full line” product
offering within two years. Awarded OEM contract for $9M annual revenue.
• Spearheaded R&D and sustaining engineering while integrating the global structure of the
new parent company. A reduction of workforce resulted with a savings of $1.8M annually.

design of system, hardware, packaging, and software.
