Designed, implemented and supported the infrastructure operations for IBM iSeries for the Financial and
Manufacturing divisions for 54 domestic and international subsidiaries.
Improved disaster planning, testing and recovery procedures to achieve a server availability rate of 99.9%
Consolidated nine Latin American midrange servers resulting in a 50% decrease in support needs and a
$300,000 dollar annual savings.
Implemented and supported large data libraries decreasing tape handling by 75% and increased available
storage by over 1GB saving the company 400,000 USD.
Supported customer accounts for four corporate and five manufacturing sites including account creation,
security, server access, technical consulting to customers and problem resolution.
Analyzed potential risks and corrected AS400 operating systems and licensed programs for Year 2000
compatibility successfully avoiding any server outage due to the millennium change.
Configured and implemented new network technology to convert from SNA protocol to TCP/IP with no

Senior Analyst/Manager – Midrange Servers, Data Center Operations, Belgium: 1990 – 1995
Designed, implemented and supported an international financial data network of 46 IBM AS400’s
running JDEdwards and Data/3 MRP applications.
Provided technical consulting for IT and facilities infrastructure to 30 Scandinavian, European and Asian
subsidiaries requiring extensive travel and resulting in common infrastructure standards in each.
Led server and infrastructure initiatives in Europe, Scandinavia and Canada to maintain and improve the
server and data facilities. Co-managed the project budget of 22 million dollar budget.
Implemented 17-country e-mail network infrastructure in three months successfully linking the European
subsidiaries into the corporate mail network.
Increased local subsidiary customer satisfaction 13% by composing, analyzing and responding to
customer surveys.
Headed a business continuity task force for Europe and Scandinavia implementing a common disaster
recovery protocol and participating in the negotiation of a disaster recovery contract with COMDISCO in
Europe.
Responsible for internal audit compliance and management of the clinical and international financial data
networks which reduced the audit cycle from weeks to days while increasing compliance levels.
