Developed and supported Excel reports for two large web based applications supplying key bond and loan
information.

Supported and created intricate and detailed Excel reports generated from raw data from web application.
Key part of the team that converted acquired company’s bond and loan data to JPM’s existing applications.

Designed and developed applications in Access 2003 and Excel 2003, (many of which were business
critical), to enable users to easily manage key trading information. Filled roles of business analyst,
database designer and programmer on most applications, as well as working in a team environment,
All applications were screen driven. No specific software knowledge needed by users.
Much of the code in applications using ODBC were written in the native language (Oracle, SQL Server, or
Sybase).
Specific projects/applications:
Access deals database for key trading group that was secured with Access security (VBA, Access SQL,
ADO and DAO used). The reports were dynamically generated from custom pivot table (and other) reports
from a secured Excel spreadsheet.
Access inventory storage and WACOG calculation database. Used WACOG business rules for various
volume balance cases to track inventory volumes and costs for specific transportation agreements. One key
part of the application was the Excel custom reports..
Excel reports for deal confirmation reporting that used Oracle data normalized in an Access database.
Data was retrieved from Oracle with customized scheduling routines to not interfere with the enterprise
database processes. (VBA, Access SQL, Oracle SQL, DAO used)

Developed several key applications acting as business analyst and programmer. These included using
Access front ends to Oracle and SQL Server and Sybase databases via ODBC.

Specific projects/applications:
Data analysis application that retrieves data from external data sources and lets the user create custom text
explanations for variance explanations programmatically. Oracle 8 backend and pass thru SQL was used
for key procedures.
Marketing database application for Enron On-Line. This database utilized several techniques to assist with

Key project was support and enhancement of mission critical Mechanical Integrity Access/SQL Server
database (80 users plant wide). The front end of this application was Access. The back end was MS SQL
Server (100 tables) with approximately 10 Access tables.
Converted large Access 2.0 front end/Access back end tables to Access 97. A very detailed conversion
plan was developed and executed.
Develop Access/VBA interface for SAP validation.
BANK UNITED (contract), Houston, Texas 4/1998 – 1/1999

Designed and developed a multi-user commission compensation system. This project involved scoping out
the business rules with management, and creating a project time line in Microsoft Project as well as the
database design and the actual programming for the Access 97 application.
Implemented multi-user Access security for the commission system. This application was the primary
source of pay computation for all loan officers in the Bank’s wholesale real estate loan department.
Assisted users with various ad-hoc Excel programming requests.

Main project was converting an extensive NOMAD Inventory conversion application to Access 97. This
involved learning to read the NOMAD SQL and convert the business rules to Access 97 VBA (DAO) code.
Extensive planning and testing was done as part of a team.
