SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS:
I am a hard working, hands on, manager seeking an opportunity in operations where demonstrated leadership
and process improvement skills will significantly impact the culture, performance and bottom line.
I have ten years of operations experience ranging from engineering to production, p lanning and inventory
control, along with eight years of management experience ranging from large corporation (General Dynamics)
to mid size (Gould Fiber Optics) to start up (K2M) and have implemented process improvement and lean
manufacturing techniques to all three.
EXPERIENCE:
Director of Production and Materials Management
K2M, Leesburg, VA (November 2004 – Present)
Responsible for managing the production, planning and inventory control operations as they pertain to medical
device tracking and assembly, while supporting an ever increasing revenue growth. Developed and
documented the manufacturing processes and procedures, as well as implemented several key process
improvement initiatives, which centered on eliminating non-value added activities through data integration.
I’ve been recognized for these efforts, by receiving an "Outstanding" performance evaluation (highest rating),
as well as being the first employee awarded the "Chairman’s Award" award in June 2006 .
Applications Engineering Manager
Integrated Solutions Manager
Gould Fiber Optics, Millersville, MD (March 2001 – November 2004)

necessary for fiber optic and electro-optic assembly. Activities included advanced prototyping, new product
introduction, customer technical interface, manufacturing documentation, job costing and quoting.
Accomplishments include the development of a tiering module which determined the optimal configuration for
splicing couplers. Results included significantly lower insertion loss and uniformity of concatenated
assemblies, as well as more accurate target specification quoting.
