Graduate Research Assistant, Center for Energy Systems Research (CESR), Tennessee Technological
University, TN (Aug 2007 - Present)
Conducting testing and simulation work to implement a novel technique to estimate Area Control Error
(ACE) using wide area frequency measurements obtained from Frequency Disturbance Recorders (FDRs).
The application of the modified ACE in ALFC (Automatic Load Frequency Control) loop is evaluated through
simulation of various IEEE test systems using PSS/E software package.
Designing and adding user controlled modules to the commercially available Siemens PSSE (Power
System Simulator for Engineering) for analyzing transient power system behavior.
