Global Executive Security Specialist, (1995-2001)
Directed the movement and provided protection for the company’s top executives while traveling
domestically and internationally. Conducted travel advancement and risk assessments prior to travel
with the officers of the company.
Teamed with other security professionals, state and federal officials, and executive’s personal
administrators to ensure seamless logistical movement of the officers. Frequently this included
family members, government officials, and officers of other companies.
Managed all special events security for the western region of the North America.

Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager, (2001-2007)
Led a global EHS department for Motorola’s embedded board division, with more than 3,000 employees
and over 3M sq. ft.
Spearheaded the development of an ISO14001 management system for acquisitions made that tripled
employee base and sq. ft. in 12 months.
Led a team of EHS and procurement professionals to identify, evaluate, audit and contract with
electronic waste vendors to dispose of E-waste in North America. Increased revenue by 28% over
previous year.
Applied for and awarded the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) “Best Workplaces for
Commuters”. Accomplished by creating a web page for employees to find information on Trip
Reduction Plan (TRP) and wrote an article for a national magazine called “Best Practices in Human
Resources”. Employee participation rate in TRP increased by 33%.
Engineered the redesign of quality test workstations thereby reducing the injury rate from 50% of the
workforce to 0. Cost of the redesign was $1,800 and estimated savings of workman’s comp. case of
$300K.
Directed, from a health and safety perspective, the remodeling of a 370K sq. ft. fully operational
manufacturing facility. At the same time, oversaw the removal and transportation of manufacturing
tool to Mexico. Simultaneously, department was successfully audited by Corporate EHS.
Created an online Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for employees and emergency response
personnel to use on a daily bases. This saved an average of 10 man-hours a week and made critical
information available in real time.
