Tier 1 automotive supplier to GM & Chrysler with 10 plants nationwide.

Achieved zero product defects as part of relentless commitment to quality control and assurance, controlling

overhead by minimizing waste using high-yield process improvements. Met delivery deadlines through optimal

staffing levels as the manager of 90+ United Auto Worker (UAW) and 3 salaried personnel. Collaborated with the

Union Steward as necessary to handle grievances and issues. Directed plant-wide daily operations, aligning with

department leads to quickly and effectively handle unexpected challenges. Led daily layered audits and

scheduled internal system audits. Monitored and eliminated product and system non-compliance issues.

Updated all Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) and control plans as needed.

• Captured a 33% cost savings in less than 7 months by lowering the direct labor cost per unit on engine and

tire/wheel assembly.

• Employed and trained staff using such Lean Principles as 5S, SMED, Kaizen events, waste elimination, and

• Engineered the restructuring of a 52-work station assembly line over a 3-day weekend, including the

Performed daily quality tests and checks on raw materials to ensure consistency and sand grade levels as part of

• Slashed die changeovers times for 14 distinct product lines by a total 49 hours (based on good part to good

part timing), escalating productivity by 41% while cutting defects by 13%. Plummeted scarp from fine tuning

after die changes by 63%.
