Customer Enrollment System
Description: Trustmark, a leading health and life insurer and benefits administrator, has been
committed to providing quality customer service and maintaining product integrity for more
than 95 years, delivering competitive benefits to employer groups at a competitive price. The
CES system is a description of a software application that Trustmark requires to manage and
enroll employees or affinity group members in insurance products. The system describes the
workflow and requirements needed to manage enrollments in the field and the desired electronic
enrollment modes needed to support the business. The new CES system must minimally support
the existing electronic enrollment functionality of the notepad system including support for new
and increase enrollments of all Trustmark group and worksite products.
Responsibilities
Designed and developed the Product Requirements interface using the ExtJS GridPanel,
EditorGridPanel and user extensions such as multiple select combo boxes for listing and
managing product requirements based on product and state combinations.
Developed the user management and user login history interface to control access to the
system and log the user system access. Implemented security functionality with password
encryption and provided the option to specify the access level for a user
Created the Producer Portal meant for a producer to have an interface displaying the
enrolled cases, enrollers working for it, enroller requests, the users specific to that producer
and the details of that producer
Implemented the state matrix application for the producer portal which displays the forms
required for a particular product in a particular state
Developed the state matrix interface having a card layout structure using ExtJS TabPanel
having three views to view the documents – Form View, Product View, Quick Approval View
Form View panel is developed using ExtJS Row Expander plugin and Product View panel is
developed using ExtJS multiple grid user extension. The quick approval view displays the
map of United States of America with each click on a state displays a pop up window listing
the forms required to enroll for that state grouped by products
Worked on Database Copy Utility Framework to copy the data from test environment to QA
environment by using the DatabaseMetada class to fetch the metadata for the database to
be copied
Extensively used JavaScript and CSS to implement the ExtJS features and perform runtime
validations on the browser side
JSP pages included the JavaScript classes containing the ExtJS functionality
Used AJAX to make asynchronous calls to the server. The Struts action class on the server
