Professional Experience

1996 to Present - Project Engineer / Project Manager: Boran Craig Barber Engel, Naples, Fl.

Primary focus is the on-site coordination of 20+ story high rise towers with the developer,

architect and the engineering consultants and subcontractors. Coordination included issuing

RFIs, coordinating RFPs, reviewing and coordinating the sub contractor scopes of work with the

construction drawings and specifications, divisions 1-16 and contracts. Supporting data and shop

drawing submittals were also reviews. Weekly status reports were required, as well as

identifying future problems and areas were changes could improve cost efficiencies.

1994 to 1996 - Structural engineer for Jenkins & Charland, in Ft. Myers, Fl., Designed and

oversaw the structural construction documents, drawings and specifications, for 4000 to 12000

sq. ft. projects ranging from Up-scale homes to commercial structures, such as gymnasiums and

office buildings in conjunction with architectural and MEP and fire protection drawings.

1985 to 1994 - Division engineer responsible for the managing of the engineering department

including the quality control and drafting technicians at Florida Mining & Materials, in Ft.

Myers, Fl. In addition to the final design documents I provided preliminary designs and quantity

take offs for the estimating department based on project contract drawings. The design and

production work include projects such as parking garages, warehouses, baseball stadiums,

bridges, sheet piling and bearing piles.

1981 to 1984 - Structural engineer for Westinghouse Nuclear Technology Division in Tampa,

Fl., Designed and provided structural design drawings and documents for piping supports at

nuclear power plants per the piping design documents. The support designs required

coordination with cable tray raceways, ductwork and equipment placement or bracing. Where

necessary the piping routing and redesign was coordinated to avoid interferences or restraint

conflicts. Two years of design work was on site for the containment building and required

providing support to the field personnel to insure proper installations.
