Ricardo (Rick) A. Torres - Introduction

My name is Rick Torres. I am a Senior Staff Reservoir Engineer with 20 years of

classical, operations-oriented, and regionally diverse Reservoir Engineering experience

at ExxonMobil and BP. From past performance appraisals, one of my greatest strengths

is my proven ability to uncover, exploit, and recover ultimate shareholder value,

particularly in the Field Development and Production Operations segments of the oil and

gas business.

Over the last seven years I have been BP’s Lead Engineer on their technically-

challenging, tight-gas Overthrust assets in Utah and Wyoming; where I applied my

operational expertise and re-developed fields through an innovative $80MM 20-well

horizontal completion program. The program not only mitigated the historical annual

production decline, but actually increased production by 30%, improved EUR 10-20%,

and overall added an incremental $500MM of shareholder value to the bottom line.

I have an accomplished track record attributable to two main skill sets. The first is my

strong technical expertise, extensive/ diverse operational experience, and shareholder-

value-based performance excellence. The second is my work style which is a
