Software Architecture
• Design, plan, develop and modify software systems, using the latest design architectures and tools to determine the
best customer fit and any consequences of design.
• Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
• Confer with systems analysts, engineers, programmers and customers to design systems and to obtain information
on project limitations, capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces.
• Supervise the work of programmers, technologists, technicians and other project personnel.
Software Development
• Consult with executive, managerial, engineering, and technical personnel to clarify program intent, project scope and
suggest changes.
• Analyze, write, review, test, and revise programs using established development methodologies and a variety of
programming languages while applying an extensive knowledge of design techniques, subject matter, and efficient
logic.
• Write, update, and deliver new computer programs or software packages to handle specific requirements such as
business applications, productivity tools, databases, advanced user interfaces, web, and reporting.
• Perform or direct revisions, repair, or expansion of existing programs to increase operating efficiency or adapt to
new requirements.
• Serve as a mentor to train subordinates in programming and program coding.
Project Management
• Meet with all project stake-holders, (both internally and externally) to solicit cooperation, assess system needs,
system requirements and to resolve problems.
• Control operational budgets and expenditures.
• Assign and review the work of systems analysts, programmers, and other related workers to insure all work is done
in accordance with the project plan and plan milestones.
• Direct daily operations of development team: analyze workflow, establish priorities, develop standards and set
deadlines.
• Review project plans to coordinate project activity.
