• As a Level 1 Engineer, develop the control systems and PLC programming necessary to insure
successful construction and installation of industrial furnace systems. This includes but is not
limited to develop the following: an automation block diagram, an I/O list developed from P&ID
drawings, a functional description of operation, and a PLC, I/O, HMI, hardware and software list.
Requisition the following: PLC, I/O, HMI hardware and software, PLC, I/O, and panel drawings,

interface requirements.

• Developed an in-house system to permit engineering to update PLC logic, transfer the updated
PLC logic to field service, and burn EPROMs in the field with the updated files semi-
automatically.
• Applied variable frequency drives to bridge, trolley, and hoist crane applications.
• Developed a method to allow use of a Variable Frequency Drive on a no-load brake hoist using
a PLC for speed monitoring and comparison.
• Assisted corporate users by transferring data via modem and E-Mail for them, install files,
recover lost files, and install computer hardware and software.
