Overview

Ms. Turner is a seasoned government relations strategist who has over 17 years experience in legislative

affairs and Congressional advocacy. Ms. Turner tackles complex policy initiatives and facilitates dialogue

statutes and regulations for all clients of the firm.

In this corporate position Ms. Turner was primarily responsible for leading internal Government

Relations strategy development and implementation plans across multiple business areas for the

Northwest/West Region State and Local Government Relations team and influencing the

competitiveness of Verizon Wireless in the Northwest/West Region. Responsibilities included

developing and maintaining strategic relationships with local and state government leaders to lead

legislative priorities and actions. Ms. Turner’s policy development leadership was manifested through

creation and risk mitigation and resulted in direct and indirect cost savings and/or avoidance through

state and local proactive legislative actions.

1993-1997

Assistant Counsel, New Jersey Governor’s Office

Ms. Turner provided legal counsel to the New Jersey Governor and served as Legal Counsel to the

Senate Judiciary Committee to the New Jersey State Senate. In these capacities, she helped oversee

legal and policy issues, judicial selection, legislation, and all legal issues concerning the Office of the

Governor and the state.
