PROJECTS
Spring 09
Design and development of an Antenna filter system
Designed and developed a prototype to detect hidden RF devices
•
Data is taken from 2 antennas and signal processing is performed to this data
•
Design and layout was done using Altium Designer
•
Spring 09
Investigation of antenna diversity and frequency dependency for multi-path reduction
Designed a novel antenna array design with off-the-shelf antennas to help facilitate indoor localization
•
Simulations were done using Microwave CST
•
Fall 08
3D-FDTD with Berenger s PML condition for micro-strip trace
Developed a 3D-FDTD code to model a micro-strip trace with Berenger’s PML boundaries
•
Utilized Matlab as the programming language
•
Microwave CST, HyperLynx and HSPICE were used for validation purposes
•
Fall 08
Comparison of TCP variants over self-similar traffic
Designed an algorithm comparing different TCP variants over self-similar traffic
•
Utilized Network Simulator 2 as well as Matlab to perform all the simulations
•
Spring 08
Wireless Nodes location determination using Round Trip Time
Utilized Network Simulator 2 to perform all the simulations
•
Was an extended part of the CISCO project but used wireless nodes instead of wired nodes
•
Spring 08
Choke Ring Ground Planes for Mitigating Multi-path Effects on GPS Antennas
Variety of different antennas were tested along with different combinations of Choke rings to mitigate multi

•
Advanced Simulation and Virtual RealityLab, Missouri S & T Rolla, MO
Aug -Dec 07
Graduate Research Assistant
Development of a Virtual Reality Simulator in a project for Missouri Department of Transportation
•
• Modified the circuitry involved in the use of optical and linear encoders which are the main components of the
simulator which enabled quicker response
• Introduced force-feedback mechanism in to the steering wheel which gave a more real life experience
• Rebuilt entire steering shaft mechanism to reduce the effect of lag, which resulted in far better performance
• Utilized C++ to write the background code used to run the simulator
