ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
● Implementation of “Praesto Lean” process resulting in product turnaround
time to decrease from 48 hours to 12 hours, lowering labor costs by 30%
($2,100,000 per annum) and shipping costs by 18% ($73,000) per annum.
● Played an integral part in the implementation of Arcnet technology within the
Printing Department. Acted as liaison between Production and R&D in weekly
reporting of accomplishments and/or problems in modification of 40 printers.
Provided suggestions and feedback to Senior management and R&D for
improvements of the process. This allowed for quicker conversion of printers
and higher productivity.
● Success in identifying departmental problem areas in production resulting in the cross-training and
manipulation of work force in areas of need . This lead to a 15% increase in productivity.
● Track record of identifying critical or repeat machinery problems and
resulting downtime. Spotlighted problems were addressed by Maintenance /
R&D, resulting in machinery downtime decreasing 12% and productivity
conversely increasing.
● Initiated procedure change eliminating separate test procedure being
performed on machinery not in use. Resulted in material savings with
potential annual savings of $62,400.
● Effectively managed the Quality Assurance Department in the start up of a second
manufacturing site. Required bringing up of 40 digital printers, calibration of 30 proofing
monitors, daily monitoring of process control in printers and daily monitoring of product quality.
This allowed for the timely opening of the facility and production of a quality end product.
• At second manufacturing site, developed Safety committee along with compiling and
communicating safety procedures within the guidelines dictated by the Sate of North Carolina and
OSHA.
