weather strip products (rubber) for the automotive industry (Primary customers: Honda, Toyota & Chrysler)

Management Team Accomplishments:

- Exceeded 2008 budgeted profit by 9.1% (results: substantial bonus for management)

- Successfully launched five new product lines, including the introduction of one-piece flow

Management Team Accomplishments:

- Developed a business operating system where key performance metrics are tracked.

- Developed a safety program with internal auditors, a disciplinary progression for PPE

infractions, and a behavioral based safety training program.

- Instituted a new communications policy: developed a system where critical information is

shared throughout the organization. The program included: department communication boards

(department metrics & information), monthly department meetings, quarterly meetings where I

report on the plant performance to all the employees

- Developed and implemented a comprehensive 5S program.

- A comprehensive employee orientation program and manual were developed to better

train (and retain) new employees

- Implemented visual scheduling systems including a kanban system for all WIP.
