Coach a team of seven, reporting to the senior-level department executive and
interacting with the chief financial officer. Serve as an integral management team leader,
collaborating with managers at all levels of responsibility to identify, research, design and
present detailed training programs for implementation organization wide to continually
enhance staff proficiency and to standardize procedures. Oversee creation of all related
multi-media publications and educational materials. Update operating/ procedural
manuals. Consistently source methods to reduce training expenses without sacrifice to
quality.
Created and introduced the department’s first ever strategic plan.
Composed and delivered a mandated six-day in-house supervisory program for all
newly-promoted supervisors and a one day leadership seminar.
Reduced training expenses $13k via negotiation of contract classes for groups rather

Provided hands-on training for a new electronic timekeeping system that was
implemented both on time and within budget. In-house curriculum design and course

Spearheaded the Alternative Work Week Program that enabled all employees to time
shift and complete 70 hours of work in a nine-day time period.

and facilitated all recruiting within a complex hiring setting. Responded to numerous
candidate needs for relocation. Developed job descriptions, interview questions and
scoring system to rank candidates. Initiated programs and procedures affecting
performance management, career development, compensation, workforce planning,
change management and policy interpretation. Collaborated with off-site facility, federal
law enforcement agencies and legal counsel to support organization’s mission and to

Directed hiring activities for 256 employees during the initial staffing phase of the Center.
