October 1994 to May 2009
Stepan Company Maywood, NJ
• As a member of the Maywood SAP startup team, I was responsible for ensuring a successful implementation of the
Plan-To-Produce module at The Maywood Facility and for training staff in the usage of this model. This included the
creation of all MRP Data with our consultants as well as the uploading of Master Recipes, BOMs, Routings, Lead-
times, and min/max inventory levels.
• Managed available union personnel and equipment to ensure the on time, and incident free production of Chemical
Intermediates that consistently met the mutually agreed upon specifications of our external and internal customers.
• Worked with Production and Logistics Departments to set expectations, and production commitments within the scope
of the Plant’s capabilities which allowed the company to achieve a 95% on time service record
• Optimized MPR Data and routinely met with new and exiting suppliers to ensure raw material availability at
competitive pricing which reduced the company’s Day Sales On Hand Matrix by 15%.
• As a member of the Maywood Quality Control Workgroup, I met with representatives from The Production and
Logistics Departments to ensure that Customer Complaints were responded to in a timely and effective manner,
including a root cause analysis and mutually agreed upon corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
• As a certified Auditor, I participated in 8 ISO internal audits and facilitated several Workgroups, through which the
correlation of Analytical and Process Data and Process mapping enabled a reduction in cycle times and the
elimination of in-process sampling, resulting in cash savings for both our Production and Quality Control
Departments. I have participated in several Customer Audits, and was a member of The Hazard Analysis Critical
Control Point (HACCP) Implementation Team.
Production Supervisor/ QA Laboratory Technician November 1988 to January 1994

uncluttered workplace. Our group conducted root cause analyses of all incidents occurring at the facility and was
instrumental in increased safety awareness and reduced Total Recordable Incident Rate.
• I chaired the Quality Improvement Team and maintained SPC Charts. The team recommended process improvements
and implemented standardized procedures, which were key in achieving and maintaining the level of quality needed
for ISO Certification.
