SUMMARY OF PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE.
Over 25 years in the Textile Industry with one decade in Mauritius and over fifteen years of
international activity on project locations, predominantly Asia / Pacific region.
MAURITIUS: Positions held in both Vertical and Commission sectors chiefly for leading fashion chain
stores. Starting as a QC ensuring garment conformity to buyers’ standards, I later joined the
production management sector and gained valuable experience in production planning & coordination.
Afterwards I also gained experience in HR, Personnel and recruitment as well as in Garment
Engineering. My career in textiles from both technical and management experience led my career
progression moving abroad in 1995.
INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE: Starting with an opportunity to work in a Greenfield project in India,
working for my original director back in Mauritius, my overseas career led me to several countries over
some 15 years. Project management and more general management experience and professional success
saw my career grow as I continued to represent and manage at senior level for the same
director/organization for over 15 years in Mauritius, then India, Sri Lanka, Madagascar, China and the
US. Production, Quality, Sourcing and other performance levels were at the level typically required for
the blue chip companies to whom we supplied…such as….some good names of well known labels.
OVERVIEW: I have proven track records of developing new business and motivating teams to
