1994-1995 Information Technology Consultant, APS Technologies
• Maintained and enhanced with 1 other Consultant, a
mission critical, 100 User, Apple Talk Network based On-line
& Batch Client-Server 4D Computer System for a mail order
company who specialized in making hard-drives and related
SCSI products.
I wrote new modules for the Order Entry System to handle

gift certificates order processing, and component inventory
item capabilities.
I also wrote various management reports, and batch
•
programs to manage the customer database file for mail label
processing, de-duplication processing, and merging of
vendor’s Prospect customer lists, along with various other
on-line system enhancements for the company’s mail order
catalog and order processing system.
1992-1994 Technical Analyst IV, SPRINT
I worked as an Internal Consultant for the Methodology and

CASE Tool Implementation Group (MACI). I provided
coaching and mentoring to the application development
teams for the Sprint International phone company divisions
on how to use Information Engineering Facility (IEF)
Methodologies and the IEF Case Tool.
I performed a wide-range of IEF related support functions
•
including managing the IEF Central Encyclopedia upgrade
project from version 5.0 to 5.2 and establishing a test and

product ional environment for both the Encyclopedia and the
MVS Implementation Toolkit.
I was the Team Leader responsible for the project plans,
•
defining the scope of the project and all tasks to be done, and
made sure the project was implemented on time.
• I was a major player in both of Sprint’s Client-Server GUI
pilot projects, OTIS and the Order QA Systems. Both systems
were Order Tracking Information Systems for phone related
services.
I worked with OS/2 2.0 & 2.1, Microsoft C 6.0, Microsoft
•
COBOL, the MVS Implementation Toolkit, DB2 and CICS. I
coached the Order QA Development Team on program
design (which entailed: data / process model design,
use/case analysis, dialogue flow design, and exit state
analysis).
• I analyzed and coordinated the management of PTF’s for the
MVS IEF Mainframe Central Encyclopedia and the IEF MVS
Implementation Toolkit.
I wrote and managed the project plans to install and test the

I actively participated in the planning, analysis, design,
development, technical writing, and roll-out of the IEF Infra
Structure at Sprint.
• I coordinated and helped install software for several user
training courses. I worked closely with the project players,
managers, and users for all of Sprint’s IEF projects.
I also wrote several documents for Sprint Upper

Management (the Director and Vice President) to compare
the case tool ADW and IEF as we were selecting case tools.
I helped plan budgets for tool costs and training for the IEF

projects in our area. I worked with the IEF vendor and
planned out our training needs for tool use and tool
upgrades.
Senior IEF Analyst, PARS Service Partnership
1991.1992

I completed a partially designed IEF Business System from
•
the BSD phase of development through Implementation to
the MVS/COBOL/CICS development and production
environments. This was the first IEF system at PARS to be
generated using PC Construction and then implemented to
the MVS Mainframe environment via MVS IEF Construction
into the CICS environment. The system reported Incident
Log Reports, and consisted of 12 DB2 tables and 17 Prads.
• I was the lead analyst on the installation, testing, and roll-out
for the MVS IEF Mainframe Construction portion of the MVS
IEF Central Encyclopedia.
I was also the Project Leader for the MVS IEF Mainframe
•
Encyclopedia conversion from version 4.2 to 5.0, writing
managing, and implementing the project plan.
I actively participated in the development of PAR’s IEF Infra
•
Structure; writing standards for mainframe construction
(which included how to code pads & prads, construct the
data and process models, perform use/case analysis,
dialogue flow & exit state analysis), and BSD (Business
System Design) tips/techniques and procedures.
• I also worked on the installation of the IEF General Ledger
Template Project.
1990-1991 System’s Analyst, Yellow Freight Systems
Managed and implemented a large MVS/COBOL/CICS/DB2
•
Vendor Software Package called MCMS, (Management
Control and Maintenance System), consisting of 200 COBOL
batch programs and approximately 400 on-line COBOL/CICS
programs to production in 10 months.
• The MCMS system consisted of a fully integrated ATA Part
Inventory System with associated functions for Vehicle
Repair Orders, Vehicle Tracking, Fuel, Oil, and Fluids
Management.
I also wrote the interface between the legacy Vehicle
•
Maintenance system and the Software Package/MCMS
System. The project required close interaction with the users

to convert data from the old system to the new system, and to
guide the users on how to implement the new system’s
features.
1984– 1990 Technical Specialist, TWA
Worked as the Team Leader developing and leading three IEF
•
development projects using the Information Engineering
Methodology.
The last project was a Marketing project dealing with about
•
40 DB2 entities.
The first project I did was Fare Waiver System; an
•
IEF/COBOL/IMS/DB2 system consisting of 4 entities and 12
on-line programs and 2 IEF batch programs. I developed the
process model, programs (called pads& prads) and worked
closely with the Data Analyst on the data model and the
process model.
• The second project was an on-line Debit/Credit Memo
System to Travel Agents. The project contained 10 online
programs, 4 IEF batch programs and consisted of 12 entities.
Both projects were MVS block mode, developed in less than
six months and went to production.
I also maintained and enhanced COBOL programs in the
•
Billings To and Billings from Other Airlines Systems. I was a
major participant in the development of the new
MVS/COBOL/IMS/DB2 On-line Billings to Other Airlines
system.
I also maintained programs and systems in the Marketing
•
areas for Large and Small Tour Operators. I was initially
employed as an Intern Programmer in 1984 while I attended
college before becoming a full time employee in 1985.

I received Sprints Outstanding Achievement Team Award, 2
Quarter for the OTIS GUI Client Server project while at Sprint. I
was nominated Secretary of the local IEF Connect User Group in
1992-93 while at TWA. I actively participated and gave

presentations at the IEF Heart of America User Group Meetings
while at TWA, PARS, and Sprint. I graduated from college with a
3.47 GPA.
INTERESTS
I enjoy coaching youth sports, working-out, swimming, golfing,
biking, and computers. I donate many hours of my free time
promoting girls/women’s athletic programs. I am family
oriented, and enjoy spending time with my three children and
husband outside of work.
