SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Leveraging Vendor Resources, Developing New Database. Because of rapid increases in trade volume, storage
capability dropped and AllianceBernstein could not retain required historical information. Working with vendor,
developed new database software to link multiple writeable databases. Enabled us to retain required 18-month
history, with capability to retain more than 24 months based on growth trends.
Reducing Account Update Times, Boosting Client Retention. Account updating was slow and information was
stale the day following a trade. Led team to streamline overnight batch processing to reduce run time. Analyzed
and enhanced over sixty separate procedures to cut more than two hours off total processing time, speeding client–
facing online account updates. Met management mandate to post client data on web site by 7:00 am.
Creating Historical Database, Avoiding Penalties. Enron collapse mandated a review of all client holdings due to
pending class action lawsuits. Built a database of all Enron securities ever traded and held in a client account.
Migrated data from offsite storage into a verifiable database. Streamlined and distributed data to all reporting
systems and mainframe and client/server platforms. Data allowed firm to escape significant SEC penalties.
Optimizing Interface with Vendor Systems, Increasing Functionality. Trade and bookkeeping processing
vendor ADP planned to eliminate legacy trade entry format in favor of new industry standard. Managed project and
led team to convert all trade and bookkeeping file formats. Dramatically increased functionality and accuracy of
over 400,000 transactions processed daily through ADP’s brokerage and asset management systems.
