STI International, Inc. is an employee stock ownership (ESOP) manufacturer of fine firearms and firearm parts

with an exclusive customer base of distributors and dealers in the United States and countries holding a U.S.

State Department Export Permit.

Operations Manager

Recruited initially to provide the leadership necessary for overcoming manufacturing and operational

inefficiencies, increasing throughput, and implementing a cultural transformation that would position

this small manufacturing operation for continued growth and productivity.

Performed immediate and thorough analysis of existing equipment, workforce capabilities and business

procedures; identified ineffective business practices; established benchmarks and metrics; and worked

with inventory, production and engineering managers to develop strategic plan and road map for

executing corporate best practices and driving continual, sustainable cost and efficiency improvements.

Developed, pushed through, and managed multiple business initiatives directly responsible for nearly

doubling customer base while increasing on-time delivery rate by 20% and overall production by more

than 40%.

Currently oversee production division with 80+ employees; directly supervise 4 operations supervisors;

Key Business Initiatives & Outcomes

Decreased inventory and tooling expenses, reduced scrap rate, accelerated factory on-time delivery rate

(from 70 to 90%) and improved pricing and quality by re-engineering processes, implementing product

and sales forecasting and facilitating training to empower employees.

Doubled throughput within one month of dissecting product assembly process, segregating job functions

and creating company-wide “parallel-pull flow line” that cleared production bottlenecks and optimized

laborer skills and performance.

Developed business plan, evaluated pricing and built costing models for new OEM division, which

immediately increased company revenues by 10% and ultimately brought on 10 new national and

international customers.

Guided senior leadership team in evaluating, procuring and implementing a global enterprise resource
