CITIFINANCIAL, MD CHORDIANT DESIGNER/LEAD 07 TO
AUG
PRESENT
CitiFinancial is one of the largest financial companies in the world. CitiFinancial provides many products to the
customers including personal loan. The current project, Symphony, deals with developing a web based
enterprise application that enables the branch employees as well as the home office employees do their daily
business like soliciting customers (Lead Management) by providing new offers, processing the loan application,
deciding the right product for the customer, taking payments, balancing Cash Drawer & collection etc...
Today client don’t have centralized system, as a part of this we are building centralized system for day to day
branch activities.
I worked on following critical modules:
• Lead Management
• Queuing
• Application processing
• Disbursement
• Manage Customer
• Manage Account
Responsibilities:
• Requirement Analysis – The Agile methodology has a way to break the Use Case/Functionality
in sections known as User Stories (US). The US denotes the work needs to be done in following sprints. As
being a Chordiant Designer needs to check the feasibility of developing the requirement as per the technology
available for project. The most important job is if the same functionality is available OOTB Chordiant then tries
to leverage the same. Ask proper questions to Business to understand requirement like how this is working in
current Business system as well as day to day activities.
• User Interface Analysis (UI) - I have an expertise on UI design/development, as per the
requirement suggest Business for better UI approach and try to leverage OOTB UI design screens for the same.
Check the feasibility of the UI design and support available from technology (JSF) using on the project from
development point of view. I have worked on ‘N’ number of POC’s (Proof of Concepts using JSF and Trinidad
library) especially for UI design.
• Design Document – It is technical document for developers with a package of following
sections
o Flow of the Use Case/Functionality
o Approach to develop functionality
o UI design and approach to develop. (The POC JSF code is also attached as a part of
document)
o Flow charts, high level diagrams, low level diagrams
o Services and signatures of the service API’s
o Describe object model and guidelines to populate model
o Mention external dependencies and integration points with related Use Cases.
o Information of external systems used by client and the approach to access the same.
o Reuse the existing components and services
To start with Design Document, the Designer should have understanding of OOTB functionality, OOTB services,
UI behavior, business requirement, object model, new UI design, existing functionality and available Design
Documents/Code. The approach to develop the functionality and in detail description.
• Design Reviews and Offshore Team – Designer needs to walk the document with Architects. As
per the feedback or approval processes explain the document to developers and support them for any
development related questions. Track the deliverables of offshore team and manage resources.

• Design walkthrough with Testers – The Agile methodology has a flexibility to develop software
in an incremental fashion. As a result for testing purpose Testers needs to stub data in respective tables.
Explain Data Model (table structure and relationships) to testers.
• Code Review – Created the coding standards especially for UI developers on this project.
Responsible for the UI code review and JSF bean hierarchy structure to minimize performance issues.
• Designed and Developed Web Services to call the Chordiant service APIs on internet.
CitiFinancial has a web application generation system called as JFP. Using JSF a Customer can create an
application in Chordiant data base.
Performance Analysis – Worked with Performance tem using JProfiler (Performance Testing Tool). The Business
requirement for each UI page should have an SLA of 2 sec. Worked on code to understand the delay and
provided solutions to minimize the delay of the backend calls.
Environment: Chordiant 6.2.1 (Foundation Server, Business Process Server / Workflow), Java, J2EE, JSF, Trinidad,
Java Script, Webshpere, RAD, Rational Software Modeler, Oracle 10g, Hibernate, SQL.

I worked on following critical modules:
• Customer Setup (CS)
• Gateway Extensions (GEX)
• Add Remove Official (ARO)
• At A Glance (AT&G)
Responsibilities:
• Requirement Analysis & Design – Analyze the Use Cases to generate High level and Low level
design for EBS in Rational Rose. The document describes about the flow chart for service logic and
sequence diagrams.
• Development – Developed UI for all the modules mentioned above with CAFE UI Framework
and Java Script. Used the workflow and BPD to manage the page flows. Generated the
Component Test’s and Assembly Test’s.
• Coding of all modules mentioned above using CAFÉ UI Framework, Java, Java Script and
Chordiant APIs.
• Code Review – Review the code as per the standards and guidelines. Review the workflows to
find the performance concerns.
• Performance Testing – Analyze the performance testing report and optimize the data base
queries, code.
• Product Testing –Fixed the defects for Customer Setup, Gateway Extensions and Add Remove
Official modules raised by PAT Team. Used to fix defects which not hamper other functionality.
Contact: Sameer / 609-***-**** x714. ******.****@*****.***
• Sanity Testing – Used to create the Sanity Setup on INT environment. Help PAT Team to test
the Defects. If any defect gets failed in Sanity, we used to fix that defect and deliver the code
again.
Environment: Java, JSF, CAFÉ UI Framework, Java Script, JSP, XML, IBM Web Sphere Application
