After starting my career in public accounting, I moved into a series of financial management positions with
Fortune 500 and smaller companies. In the process, I demonstrated my ability to drive and contribute to a
company's financial success. My strengths include…
• Finding ways to fund growth and change
• Creating and installing the financial infrastructure to control the business tightly
• Providing definitive financial guidance to the general management and profit-making processes
• Ensuring compliance with domestic and international regulatory requirements
• Establishing international banking relationship to foster growth and expansion
BBA - Accounting - Eastern Michigan University. CPA - Michigan. I have been described as someone who is
calm under pressure, analytical and articulate. My style is hands-on but I delegate well. I am told I relate easily to
people in all settings from the Board Room on down.
SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Raised funds. Innatech had limited borrowing availability. Developed and presented long range plans outlining
the company’s capabilities in a road show to 10 potential lenders. Within 9 months and after posting the largest net
loss in company history, closed on new financial arrangements that doubled existing borrowing availability.
Established new, global bank relationships. Sale of Textron Fastening Systems (TFS) to Platinum Equity
terminated all existing banking agreements worldwide. Formed an alliance with Textron Treasury and Platinum
Equity that enabled using existing bank relationships under Textron while replacing all global banking and cash
management systems before the sale was finalized.
Provided a vehicle to move cash from international operations to the US. Traditional methods of utilizing
dividends were not available as the result of the sale of TFS to Platinum Equity. Developed and justified a solution
that moved $35M from Europe and Asia using corporate management fees and intercompany loan agreements.
Consolidated TFS North American accounting operations. Integrated 15 additional domestic operations and
centralized all AR and payroll from all 25 domestic operations. Realized a 20% savings in total purchases through
volume and an improvement in past due balances of 54%.
Controlled benefits costs. Innatech-provided health plan experienced a rate increase year over year of 30%. In
response, put existing plan out to bid. Succeeded in maintaining the same healthcare provider through a different
broker while reducing annual cost $300K.
