• Responsible for all Unix systems at the Jewish United Fund.
• Managed legacy systems for a $200 million organization. The primary fund raising and financial
management applications are being migrated to an Oracle database system with Oracle’s
application server.
• Responsible for all OS issues, security, performance, upgrade and patching
• These legacy systems had an uptime ratio above 99%. No production system outages attributed
to systems administration error since 2002.

May 2002-August 2003: HP Server Upgrade and Expansion
• Managing the migration of legacy systems to L2000 64 bit HP-UX 11.11.
• This upgrade involves moving to 64 Bit versions of all major server software noted below. The
upgrade also includes moving the new Donor Management System from Oracle 8.1.7 to Oracle 9i
Release 2 and Oracle Internet Application Server (ias) Server 9i Release 2.
• Migrated data from local disk to SAN.
Application server upgrade includes managing the transition of the developers desktop

applications. Using Ignite-UX imaging to cut the roll out time of three systems by up to 67%.
Migration of database from from local disk to SAN based storage.

• Systems Analyst responsible JUF Legacies & Endowments System. Hundreds of millions of
dollars in assets managed by the system.
• DBA for ADABAS. Handled installations, upgrades, and database performance.
• Supervised conversion of these systems from mainframe to HP9000 using HP-UX.
• Responsible for shell scripting for major database utilities.
• The system ran on an IBM-4380 mainframe using Natural and ADABAS with over 500,000
records covering both batch and interactive online services.

from IBM 4381 to HP-9000 in 1994-1995.

WVTV-TV Automation Interface. Coordinated the automatic transfer of data from a System/36 to a
custom automation system via a PC terminal emulation. The automation system currently controls every
event in the stations broadcast day. Transfer error rate reduced from 25% to under 1%.
