In the Medtronic data warehouse the source data from an AS/400 file in one of the JDE distribution systems is
sourced into the Staging data store via Oracle/AS400 gateway. Cleansed data is loaded into the Operating data
store using PL/SQL procedures. The data from the operating stage area is extracted, transformed and loaded into
different data marts using procedures and Informatica Power Center 5.1 mappings.
Designed and developed transformations, mappings and sessions in Informatica to load target data
marts.
Enhanced the existing mappings made adaptive changes to the data warehouse environment to meet
the changes in the source system, due to business requirements and product upgrades.
Monitored and supported the data warehouse production environment on a day-to-day basis.

The data warehouse of GECTIP has data flowing from its OLTP systems like Seibel, Oracle Financials and web
applications. The data is extracted, transformed and loaded into the data warehouse using PL-SQL procedures
and Informatica mappings.
Designed extract and load routines for Dimension and fact tables. Created and enhanced mappings
and mapplets in Informatica for extraction, transformation and loading of data. Implemented PL-
SQL procedures in Informatica. Created sessions and batches, thus scheduling extract and load
routines.
Performed performance tuning of session and SQL optimizations. Responsible for source system
analysis, data transformation, loading, quality control of the Informatica mappings, validation for
data marts, operational data store and data warehouse.
Modified and enhanced the existing Business Objects Universe for the redesigned data marts.
