• Created the Unicenter NSM framework (Message records/actions, Advanced
Event Correlation Policies, EMPerl) which has the flexibility to fit every applications’
traps/events in the enterprise.
• Created different scripts for URL monitoring using programmable watchers.
• Full length implementation of UCM, WRS, UMP, systems performance, DIA,
UKB.
• Integrated Unicenter NSM r11.1 with Unicenter Service Desk r11.2.
• Implemented and administered CA Spectrum 9.0 and CA ehealth 6.0 from
scratch. Lead the discussions and was instrumental in coordinating with the
network team to build the models and topology in CA Spectrum.
• Scheduled NCM policies to capture the running configurations on all the
network devices and worked out the problems of SNMP communication with the
Network team.

and CA ehealth were forwarded to Unicenter NSM using the set, clear, update
script and depending on the severity of the alarm a ticket was generated via AMS
(Alert management system).

all around the world. Have been part of the architectural design team and have been playing a
NSM lead role for the whole project. Provided the DR solution strategy and proved the
architectural theory in in-house labs. The full length solution is provided to their 6 datacenters
all around the world. Have been preparing and documenting the test plan for NSM, DIA/UKB
failover, SAMP, etc., functionalities from a monitoring readiness perspective.

Have been part of CA DCA r11.1 (Datacenter Automation) Development and SWAT
team to create Use cases and provide additional features to enhance the product. Played a key
role in strategizing the development architecture and implementing the CA DCA solution. The
project required contribution of individual inputs and requirements faced at different customer
sites, which were then created as use cases, and created solutions using CA DCA. The solution
was sent to QA for Quality and regression testing. Various Perl scripts were generated using a
data modeling tool called BPgen (Business Process generator) that were imported into CA DCA
and were tested at full length. Different use cases are being created for the best usage of the
product.

The project was to upgrade the present NSM 3.0 infrastructure to NSM r11.1. Major
task was to implement NSM r11.1 and Job Management on two different Microsoft cluster
environments. Later had administered and streamlined the Unicenter process. Below are few
of the tasks.
• Initial analysis of the NSM 3.0 architecture and setup.
• Architected and laid the cluster infrastructure.
• Installed and configured NSM r11.1 on cluster and installed Unicenter Job
Management option on another cluster environment. Tested for High
Availability of the Application and Jobs.
• Exported and imported all the jobs, jobsets, calendars from NSM 3.0 to NSM
r11.1 environment.
• Installed/upgraded and configured NSM r11.1 system, log, event, job agents
on Solaris, AIX and Linux machines.
• Administration and automation of auto ticket generation.
• Created and compiled Advanced event correlation policies for De-duplication
and Event tokenization inorder to automatically open service desk tickets.
• Worked on a perl script and added a subroutine to split the input event to
multiple events, which were delimited by pipe, using the dynamic tokens in
AEC.
• Implemented and integrated scripts through Programmable Resource
Monitoring for third party applications (SOA Applications). The monitoring
happens via the script which is integrated with Programmable Resource
watcher. Customized events are sent out for further notification.

The project was to Monitor and Rationalize WaMu’s Infrastructure. WaMu has replaced
their Monitoring tool, IBM’s Netcool, with CA’s Unicenter suite of products throughout the
bank. Below are few of the tasks.
• Designed/deployed and configured NSM R11.1 and the DIA/UKB architecture
for WaMu’s Development Environment.
• Architected and configured the UKB failover and fail back strategy.
• Have been part of the architectural discussions from scratch to till date of the
project.
• Analyzed the present Windows OS security, which is set in their environment,
and documented all the privileges required to install and run Unicenter suite of
products in present WaMu’s OS hardened environment.
• Had been working hand-in-hand with WaMu’s and CA’s senior architects.
Documented all the procedures required during this Development deployment
phase.
• Configured Trap manager to translate all the events from non-ca specific
applications…etc.
• Written and compiled Advanced event correlation policies in all different
scenarios. Worked closely with the development team in architecting the

Performed a thorough study and analysis of Unicenter NSM 3.x infrastructure
architecture and the Event flow mechanism at Publix. Publix has a highly customized
environment on Unicenter Workload Management and Unicenter NSM 2.4/3.x. The workload
jobs are critical on Mainframes with CA7. Created an analysis report with recommendations on
upgrade of their NSM 3.x environment to NSM r11.1. The study was to analyze the impact of
NSM r11.1 upgrade on the present NSM 3.x production environment, which is highly
customized.

Performed a study and analysis of Unicenter NSM 3.1 infrastructure architecture and
the Event flow mechanism at Visa. Had to parallely bring up a whole new NSM r11.1
environment running on Microsoft Cluster and forward the Events from NSM r11.1
environment to the present NSM 3.1 infrastructure without disrupting the production

tasks.
• Fixed the Master UKB/DIA communication problems.
• Reengineered the event flow and created new Event policies/AEC policies.
• Recreated and re-architected the AMS polices and AMS Escalation policies.
• Fixed Dell integration problems with Unicenter NSM r11.1.
• Created procedures and scripts to remove adaptive configuration through out
the environment and deployed the same via DSM (Desktop and Server
Management)
• Created and customized the UCM agent base profiles and delivered the same
on all the production servers.

My Job involved in supporting the Unicenter NSM/UMP/ANO/NPO products. The
support is given to the companies located in North America/Asia PAC on Phone & through
Emails. This involves troubleshooting, in depth analysis, customizing, debugging and various
other aspects of integration with other Unicenter Products by logging in remotely into client’s
servers. Helped clients in designing, implementing and troubleshooting all the above
mentioned products. Have also Designed, Documented and implemented Unicenter NSM for
many Enterprise customers right from scratch. This also includes Performance tuning,
Application tuning, placement of the servers like the CORe/DSM/EM in their Environment
according to the CA’s standards and procedures. My specialization was in
• Enterprise Management (Event Management),

party MIB’s for translation.

Was actively involved in training the employees and new joiners on Unicenter NSM,
Unicenter Desktop DNA and PCMACLAN. Was part of the interview panel at CA, Hyderabad,
India and took interviews at the technical level for candidates.
Was officially trained on Unicenter Desktop DNA 4.7 at Santa Barbara, California, USA
on behalf of CA, Asia. Later trained more than 60 people from Development, testing and
support teams on Desktop DNA at CA, ITC, India.

to work at their Client site i.e., GE as a Systems and Network Engineer. Was working on
contract basis for 3 months for migrating their Servers/Network/Systems and Infrastructure to
a new building.

Controllers, Dell) workstations and Raid servers (Compaq) and assisting in setting up the
network during their migration to the new site. My job also involved in maintaining the
workstations and to satisfy the user in every aspect, i.e., in application point of view, Network
